My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, God as he had told remembered and visited Sarah. Before that Abraham circumcised the flesh of his foreskin, the flesh of Ishmael’s foreskin, the flesh of the foreskin of all who were born in his house.

Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin and Ishmael was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

After Abraham circumcised himself and offered himself to God, God appeared to Abraham while he was sitting at the tent door.

When he saw three men standing he ran from the tent door to meet them, and bowed himself to the ground, and said, “My Lord, if I have now found favor in Your sight, do not pass on by Your servant. Please let a little water be brought, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree.

Genesis 18: 5 - And I will bring a morsel of bread, that you may refresh your hearts. After that you may pass by, inasmuch as you have come to your servant.” They said, “Do as you have said.”

(The reason that God is showing this as a pattern is to show us that we must eat bread in the Lord’s supper only after washing of feet)

So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, “Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes.” And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it. So he took butter and milk and the calf which he had prepared, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree as they ate.

What we understand from this is that God is accepting Abraham and Sarah.

When the angels asked Abraham “Where is Sarah your wife?” he said, “Here, in the tent.”

In Genesis 18: 10 they said - And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.” (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.)

Both Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; so when Sarah heard this she laughed.

Genesis 18: 13 – 15 And the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’

Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”

But Sarah denied it, saying, “I did not laugh,” for she was afraid. And He said, “No, but you did laugh!”

From this what God is showing us is that God is showing Sarah, as the mother of all of us, she is the free woman, which is Jerusalem. A son will be born which is Isaac, promised generation and we are able to meditate what God is showing as a pattern.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, birth of Christ within us will happen at any age. We understand that if we believe in God, Christ is born in our souls.

Therefore, in Galatians 4:19 My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you

In Genesis 21: 1, 2 - And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken.

For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him—whom Sarah bore to him—Isaac.

Then Abraham circumcised his son Isaac when he was eight days old, as God had commanded him.

Genesis 21: 9 – 12 And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, scoffing.

Therefore, she said to Abraham, “Cast out this bondwoman and her son; for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, namely with Isaac.”

And the matter was very displeasing in Abraham’s sight because of his son.

But God said to Abraham, “Do not let it be displeasing in your sight because of the lad or because of your bondwoman. Whatever Sarah has said to you, listen to her voice; for in Isaac your seed shall be called.

From this, what we understand is that – our fleshly thoughts should be removed, and we must create thoughts according to the Spirit. Also, free Jerusalem is our Lord God. We must always obey his words. He will not forsake us even during our old age.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all.
