“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Romans 9: 16 So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who shows mercy.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Hallelujah
Protection of our soul from Pharaoh – as a pattern
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that those who walk in the fear of the Lord will be prosperous and our soul should be changed into a new creation. If we live in this manner, we see according to God’s word that the Israel church will multiply and increase.
Not only that, we saw that the Hebrew midwives, protected the Hebrew children from being given into the hands of Pharaoh. In the same manner, we must all have reverence and fear of God so that a new image should appear in our soul.
Also, the Hebrew midwives did not do according to what Pharaoh commanded and because they protected the male child, later Pharaoh commanded to all his people that Every son who is born you shall cast into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive.
But in Egypt, a man of the house of Levi went and took as wife a daughter of Levi. So, the woman conceived and bore a son. And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she hid him three months.
But when she could no longer hide him, she took an ark of bulrushes for him, daubed it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the reeds by the river’s bank. And his sister stood afar off, to know what would be done to him.
My dear people, when we read this, we must not just read this like a worldly story but we must see how the new change that appears in our soul is manifested, how that appearance is not allowed to grow by Pharaoh (worldly spirit – enemy) cunningly and how God protects it with his angels and how that soul is not allowed to come to this world and eat the goodness and grow and increase but as soon as it is born from the womb in order to make sure that the soul does not get victory, orders are given to kill it, and the girl child means those who are weak, so letting those who are weak to grow and giving an order to destroy those who support those who are weak, that is those who are strong (male child).
But God gives the family of Levi the covenant of priesthood as a possession already. In the same tribe of Levi, the child Moses is born is kept in the ark of bulrushes and we see that he is protected inside the bulrushes.
The sister of the child Moses, stood afar off, and kept watching to know what would happen to the child kept in the ark of bulrushes.
Exodus 2: 5, 6 Then the daughter of Pharaoh came down to bathe at the river. And her maidens walked along the riverside; and when she saw the ark among the reeds, she sent her maid to get it.
And when she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby wept. So, she had compassion on him, and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.” But the sister of the child who was watching this said to Pharaoh’s daughter, “Shall I go and call a nurse for you from the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you?”
And Pharaoh’s daughter said to her, “Go.” So, the maiden went and called the child’s mother.
From this what we understand and what God is explaining to us that nothing can be done against those who are chosen by God by anyone or by any person who is strong.
Also, Pharaoh’s daughter has compassion on that child. God is showing us that this can happen only because of God. If our soul must be protected, we must receive compassion from the eyes of God. Moses also received this in the same way. This is because, God’s will was to use Moses, to redeem the huge multitude of Israel therefore God breaks the commandment of Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. My dear people, for the growth of our soul, we must wait on the Lord and receive God’s compassion in the same manner.
That is why, in Exodus 33: 19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
In this manner, on whomever God’s will is there and he shows compassion, they will receive eternal life and will receive blessings in the end. Therefore, we must all wait for compassion.
That is what, in Proverbs 16: 15 In the light of the king’s face is life,
And his favor is like a cloud of the latter rain.
Therefore, he gives Moses, the milk of his mother (Hebrew woman) to grow and gives grace. Mother’s milk means it is God’s word. But God does not send him to an Egyptian mother. The child is a Hebrew child, the milk of the same tribe, the Hebrew lady, but we can read that it is his own mother.
My dear people, God is showing Moses as a pattern for the Christ’s kingdom which comes into our soul. God has given us Christ as our mother. If we will desire and thirst on his undefiled, pure milk of wisdom, our soul will live and be well also God will rejoice and be glad in our soul, as our bridegroom. Any type of power against us will not destroy us.
That is why, in 1 Peter 2: 2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
If we live in this manner, we will be built together as a holy priesthood. This is what God is showing us through Moses as a pattern.
The child Moses is kept in an ark of bulrushes by the riverbank and through this God is showing us that the river that is flowing in Egypt is the river of Egypt. (Sihor’s water) It shows the deeds of the world.
Now a river went out of Eden and from there it parted and became four riverheads. The fourth river is the Euphrates. The Euphrates river shows the deeds of the Devil and worldly pride. Therefore, God is telling Jeremiah “Go and get yourself a linen sash, and put it around your waist, but do not put it in water.” He did the same and hid it in a hole in the rock in the bank of Euphrates river according to what God told him.
Then when he dug out the sash that he had hidden, and he saw that the sash was ruined. It was profitable for nothing.
Then God says in this manner I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem.
From this what we must understand is that the river of Egypt (Sihor’s water) are the deeds of the evil. We can see that in order that he does not fall in this water and get destroyed, Moses was safe guarded in an ark of bulrushes daubed with asphalt and pitch and laid by the river’s bank.
The meaning of this is that God does not want our soul to fall into the world which is the wicked and in order to protect us, God has anointed our Lord Jesus Christ. We must be hidden within him that was anointed and then we will be protected. When we are within this protection, God will give us each day’s word, which is the Word of God and he will enable us to grow.
In this manner, my dear people, our soul is being protected by him who is anointed.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless us all.
