“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

1 Thessalonians 5: 19, 20

Do not quench the Spirit.

Do not despise prophecies.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church, should destroy the deeds of the giants in our soul.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church, each one of should be as precious stones adorned in the crown of Christ.

Next what we are meditating upon is that in 1 Chronicles 20: 4 – 8 Now it happened afterward that war broke out at Gezer with the Philistines, at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite killed Sippai, who was one of the sons of the giant. And they were subdued.

Again there was war with the Philistines, and Elhanan the son of Jair killed Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver’s beam.

Yet again there was war at Gath, where there was a man of great stature, with twenty-four fingers and toes, six on each hand and six on each foot; and he also was born to the giant.

So when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea, David’s brother, killed him.

These were born to the giant in Gath, and they fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.

In the above-mentioned verses, after David came to Jerusalem that war broke out at Gezer with the Philistines, at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite killed Sippai, who was one of the sons of the giant.

My dear people, in the above-mentioned verses we can read the three times war occurred between the Israelites and Philistines. All these three times they had to fight against the giants. That is, in our soul the deeds of the giants which arise. We must overcome these as a church by the power of Christ and God is showing this as a pattern. Regarding this only the sons of Israel in the journey of faith in the land that they entered they said that they saw the giants the descendants of Anak who came from the giants. As soon as they saw them the sons of Israel lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. They spread the evil news that the land cannot be possessed. But Joshua and Caleb said we can easily possess the land. Therefore my dear people, in our journey of faith in our soul many deeds of the giants will arise, and we should realize that, and we should fight against them with the word of God and be as those who are victorious. Also, in our mind all the evil deeds that arise, that is fights, anger, revenges, jealousy, pride, obstinacy, murders, drunkenness are all the wrong facts that arise in each one of our souls. These things will push us down away from the true way of Christ. Therefore once we think in our mind that we can easily overcome these by the Lord we will escape from the snare and the net of Satan. If we escape in this manner, then the promise that God gave Moses he is giving Joshua also. The great things that he did not do through Moses he is doing through Joshua. Also, the thing that the Lord said to Caleb he is receiving with fulfilment at the age eighty-five years. The reason for this is that he who had heard the voice of the Lord in the in between years waited patiently and the brothers who came along with him made the people’s heart to be melted but he did not fear and fall down and because he followed the Lord uprightly the land that the Lord promised him, he says that let it be as an inheritance for him and his children forever. Also, the voice of the Lord which he heard at the age of forty  years he did not consider it as the voice of man but because he considered it as the voice of God even at the age of eighty five his strength of God did not decrease, was safeguarded and he asked give me the mountain and received it. Even though the giants of Anak were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said. And Joshua who heard this blessed Caleb and gave Hebron to him as an inheritance. First when we correct the deeds in our soul, then the Lord will do his work in the place according to his will and he makes us as an inheritance for him. Then only in our life war will stop and our soul will receive quietness. Therefore, we should change the deeds of the giants from us and if we are steadfast in faith then the Lord will never forsake us forever. In this manner let each one of us submit ourselves in the presence of the Lord.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
