“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 116: 17

I will offer to You the sacrifice of thanksgiving and will call upon the name of the Lord.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church, should not be punished by the iniquity of our forefathers and be saved by Christ.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church, should do the will of the Lord and let his glory manifest within us.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 23: 29 – 37 In his days Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt went to the aid of the king of Assyria, to the River Euphrates; and King Josiah went against him. And Pharaoh Necho killed him at Megiddo when he confronted him.

Then his servants moved his body in a chariot from Megiddo, brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own tomb. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, anointed him, and made him king in his father’s place.

Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his fathers had done.

Now Pharaoh Necho put him in prison at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem; and he imposed on the land a tribute of one hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.

Then Pharaoh Necho made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in place of his father Josiah and changed his name to Jehoiakim. And Pharaoh took Jehoahaz and went to Egypt, and he died there.

So Jehoiakim gave the silver and gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give money according to the command of Pharaoh; he exacted the silver and gold from the people of the land, from everyone according to his assessment, to give it to Pharaoh Necho.

Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Zebudah the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.

And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his fathers had done.

In the above-mentioned verses, in the days when Josiah was king Pharaoh Necho king of Egypt went to the aid of the king of Assyria, to the River Euphrates; and King Josiah went against him.

My dear people, when we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, we can read that king Josiah walked fearing the Lord. But due to the wickedness that Manasseh did against the Lord, his anger was not removed and just like he removed Israel from his face, he removed Judah also from his face and like he said that the city of Jerusalem which I had chosen and the temple where I said my name will manifest I will hate it in the same way the Lord submitted Josiah in the hands of the king of Egypt and he is being killed. Then the kingdom of his son Jehoahaz did not stand. He is also being sent to Egypt and is dying. Then Jehoiakim exacted the silver and gold from the people of the land, from everyone according to his assessment, to give it to Pharaoh Necho. Also, he does evil in the sight of the Lord. In this manner, if we have angered the Lord by our forefathers we will also be punished. If we want to be delivered from this, we must have faith upon Christ and be redeemed by his blood and be made holy and for him if we humble ourselves and submit ourselves completely then we will escape the punishment and we can manifest in his glory. In this manner, let us humble ourselves and submit ourselves.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
