“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Acts 17: 25

Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Our heart, the bride, the church, the altar should be made holy by the word of the Lord.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should be changed as the church of God.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 23: 7 - 10 Then he tore down the ritual booths of the perverted persons that were in the house of the Lord, where the women wove hangings for the wooden image.

And he brought all the priests from the cities of Judah and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba; also he broke down the high places at the gates which were at the entrance of the Gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were to the left of the city gate.

Nevertheless the priests of the high places did not come up to the altar of the Lord in Jerusalem, but they ate unleavened bread among their brethren.

And he defiled Topheth, which is in the Valley of the [g]Son of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter pass through the fire to Molech.

In the above-mentioned verses, king Josiah tore down the ritual booths of the perverted persons that were in the house of the Lord, where the women wove hangings for the wooden image. And he defiled Topheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter pass through the fire to Molech. In 2 Kings 23: 11 – 15 Then he removed the horses that the kings of Judah had dedicated to the sun, at the entrance to the house of the Lord, by the chamber of Nathan-Melech, the officer who was in the court; and he burned the chariots of the sun with fire.

The altars that were on the roof, the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the Lord, the king broke down and pulverized there, and threw their dust into the Brook Kidron.

Then the king defiled the high places that were east of Jerusalem, which were on the south of the Mount of Corruption, which Solomon king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the people of Ammon.

And he broke in pieces the sacred pillars and cut down the wooden images and filled their places with the bones of men.

Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he broke down; and he burned the high place and crushed it to powder, and burned the wooden image.

When we meditate upon the above-mentioned words of the Lord, he removed everything starting from the entrance to the house of the Lord till everything outside the city and everything that was against the will of the Lord he burned by fire and everything made by the kings of Judah and the king broke the altars that were there in the upper chamber of Ahaz’s house and threw their dust into the Brook Kidron. Then the king defiled the high places that were east of Jerusalem, which were on the south of the Mount of Corruption, which Solomon king of Israel had built for all the abominations, and he broke in pieces the sacred pillars and cut down the wooden images and filled their places with the bones of men. Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he broke down; and he burned the high place and crushed it to powder, and burned the wooden image.

My dear people, in the above-mentioned portions for us, the church of God and its altar, our heart for it to be holy for this God is showing us as a pattern. Also, king Josiah broke everything that was not the will of God and burned them and we can read this means in our soul whatever is as an idol and is defiling the altar of the Lord everything should be burned with the fire, which is the word of God. Also, the thoughts of our heart, remembrances, appearances everything should be of good. Like Solomon or like Jeroboam, the son of Nebat we should be careful that wicked and evil deeds should not arise. My dear people in Christ, who are reading these things we must safeguard ourselves so that no sinful character comes within us. That itself is a worship pleasing to the Lord. In this manner, our body, the church of God to be made holy let us submit ourselves to offer the worship pleasing to the Lord with holiness.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
