“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Proverbs 3: 33
The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the just.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church for the mistakes done by a person we must humble ourselves as a church and submit ourselves to the Lord.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated we, the bride, the church after the salvation of our soul by the grace of Christ our soul should be safeguarded so that we are not deceived.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 20: 1, 2 In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.’”
Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying,
In the above-mentioned verses, the son of Sennacherib king of Assyria Esarhaddon came to the city. In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.’” Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying, in 2 Kings 20: 3 “Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
He told the Lord according to what is mentioned above and wept bitterly. And it happened, before Isaiah had gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying, in 2 Kings 20: 5, 6 “Return and tell Hezekiah the leader of My people, ‘Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: “I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely, I will heal you. On the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord.
And I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for My own sake, and for the sake of My servant David.”
After the Lord said these words to Hezekiah, then Isaiah said, “Take a lump of figs.” So they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.
From this what we come to know is that Hezekiah was being oppressed from the disease of boils. Also, 2 Chronicles 30: 17 – 20 For there were many in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves; therefore the Levites had charge of the slaughter of the Passover lambs for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to the Lord.
For a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, “May the good Lord provide atonement for everyone
who prepares his heart to seek God, the Lord God of his fathers, though he is not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary.”
And the Lord listened to Hezekiah and healed the people.
In the above-mentioned verses, in the days of Hezekiah the people did not follow the Passover according to what was written. Therefore, Hezekiah is praying to the Lord. The Lord is listening to that request and is healing the people. But, in 2 Chronicles 32: 22 – 26 Thus the Lord saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all others, and guided them on every side.
And many brought gifts to the Lord at Jerusalem, and presents to Hezekiah king of Judah, so that he was exalted in the sight of all nations thereafter.
In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death, and he prayed to the Lord; and He spoke to him and gave him a sign.
But Hezekiah did not repay according to the favour shown him, for his heart was lifted up; therefore wrath was looming over him and over Judah and Jerusalem.
Then Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
In the above-mentioned verses, he was exalted in the sight of all the nations. Therefore, he did not walk according to the favour shown to him by the Lord, for his heart was lifted up. Therefore, the Lord is greatly angry upon Judah and Jerusalem. Then Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come upon them in the days of Hezekiah.
My dear people, what the above-mentioned words is that in the days when the son of Sennacherib king of Assyria Esarhaddon came to the city Hezekiah is falling sick. This means that in our life if Christ is not resurrecting in our soul as the King, then our soul will become sick unto death, and we must realize this. Also, in our mind even if many tribulations come then our soul will have the sadness unto death. These things the Lord is using Hezekiah and showing us as a pattern. Also, when we are being changed as Jerusalem, the deeds of Assyria, that is the traditional deeds will trouble us. But if we do the things that are right for the Lord and pray to the Lord then he will not submit us into the hands of the Assyrian and he alone will be our refuge and will deliver our soul from death. Also, we must abide in holiness and do the things for the Lord. Also, we must never become proud in the mind. If we become proud, then the Lord will become greatly angry with us. In this manner, we must never become the reason for his wrath and for the mistakes of one person everyone should gather as the church of God and if we will humble ourselves to the Lord, then the Lord will have mercy upon us and deliver us from death and we can know that he is the one who saves us. In this manner, let us all submit ourselves in the hands of the Lord.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
