“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Isaiah 10: 20
And it shall come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and such as have escaped of the house of Jacob, will never again depend on him who defeated them, but will depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church after the salvation of our soul by the grace of Christ our soul should be safeguarded so that we are not deceived.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated we, the bride, the church to safeguard our spiritual blessings and so that the Lord does not hold us captive by the enemy, let us obey the voice of the Lord.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 19: 29 – 31 ‘This shall be a sign to you: ‘You shall eat this year such as grows of itself, and in the second year what springs from the same; also in the third-year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them.
And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.
For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant, and those who escape from Mount Zion. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.’
In the above-mentioned verses, through Isaiah the things that the Lord said for the king of Assyria that I will turn him back and go means that I will not allow the city of the Lord to be completely destroyed by the Assyrians. As a sign for that what is there is that ‘You shall eat this year such as grows of itself, and in the second year what springs from the same; also in the third-year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them. And the remnant who have escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward. For out of Jerusalem shall go a remnant, and those who escape from Mount Zion. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.’ Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria: in 2 Kings 19: 32 – 34 Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria: ‘He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor build a siege mound against it.
By the way that he came, by the same shall he return; and he shall not come into this city,’ says the Lord.
‘For I will defend this city, to save it for My own sake and for My servant David’s sake.’
After the Lord had said the above-mentioned things about the king of Assyria what happened that night is that 2 Kings 19: 35 And it came to pass on a certain night that the angel of the Lord went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; and when people arose early in the morning, there were the corpses—all dead.
In this manner, the Assyrians died and they were as corpses. So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and went away, returned home, and remained at Nineveh. Now it came to pass, as he was worshiping in the temple of Nisroch his god, that his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer struck him down with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. Then Esarhaddon his son reigned in his place.
My dear people, when we meditate upon the previous words of the Lord when the Lord redeems us from all the decorations of the world then for the Lord a small gathering of souls only will be remaining. That is, by the Assyrians (decorations of the world) many people will go behind it. They are ordained for that only. Those who do not obey the Lord will be destroyed by that. Then those who are remaining will obey all the words of the Lord and from Mount Zion and Jerusalem (by Christ) will begin on the journey of faith. In this manner when the Lord is saving the souls, that city will be called Zion and Jerusalem. Then the Lord will not allow the Assyrians to enter into that city and will send him back. Then he will be a support for his children who are saved, and he will destroy the enemy, which are the deeds of the Assyrians. After that we will be able to truly depend upon the Lord and live. Therefore we must carefully listen to the voice of the Lord and if we do not do his will then again, our soul will become captive to this. Therefore, my dear people we must always be safeguarded by the grace of the Lord. Let us submit ourselves in this manner.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
