“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Isaiah 10: 24, 25
Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: “O My people, who dwell in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrian. He shall strike you with a rod and lift up his staff against you, in the manner of Egypt.
For yet a very little while and the indignation will cease, as will My anger in their destruction.”
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church to safeguard our spiritual blessings and so that the Lord does not hold us captive by the enemy, let us obey the voice of the Lord.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated we, the bride, the church due to the decorations of the Assyrians (traditional walk) we should not fall, and we should pray to the Lord.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 19: 20 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard.’
In the above-mentioned verses, after Hezekiah read the letters sent by the king of Assyria, he is praying to the Lord. Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard.’ This is the word which the Lord has spoken concerning him: 2 Kings 19: 21 – 24 This is the word which the Lord has spoken concerning him: ‘The virgin, the daughter of Zion, has despised you, laughed you to scorn; The daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head behind your back!
‘Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice, and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.
By your messengers you have reproached the Lord and said: “By the multitude of my chariots I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the limits of Lebanon; I will cut down its tall cedars and its choice cypress trees; I will enter the extremity of its borders, to its fruitful forest.
I have dug and drunk strange water, and with the soles of my feet I have dried up all the brooks of defense.”
In the above-mentioned verses, the king of Assyria due to his pride became arrogant and did not allow the people of God to grow in spiritual growth and deceived their soul and thinking about this he is praising himself and this the Lord is telling the prophet and sending. Also, the Lord is saying in 2 Kings 19: 25 – 28 ‘Did you not hear long ago how I made it, from ancient times that I formed it? Now I have brought it to pass, that you should be for crushing fortified cities into heaps of ruins.
Therefore their inhabitants had little power; they were dismayed and confounded; They were as the grass of the field and the green herb, as the grass on the housetops and grain blighted before it is grown.
But I know your dwelling place, your going out and your coming in, and your rage against Me.
Because your rage against Me and your tumult have come up to My ears, therefore I will put My hook in your nose and My bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way which you came.
When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, the things that the Lord is telling the king to Assyria are: in every soul by the Lord only everything was done. But because is exalting himself he said I will put My hook in your nose and My bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way which you came.
Also, regarding this thing what the Lord is showing us as a pattern is that if a soul by the grace of God possesses the salvation, then the traditional deeds that are in them the will of God is to destroy everything so for those who do not obey the word of the Lord, till they obey the Lord will send the enemy and he will destroy the spiritual blessings that they have received. Then because the enemy praises himself as if he has done this and because he despises the Lord and blasphemies him the Lord rebukes him with the word of the Lord and removes the deeds of the enemy from them and for that soul to grow within Christ, he comforts it. Therefore, my dear people, we must analyze and know ourselves the deeds of our soul so that we are not destroyed by the enemy if we will fall in the hands of the Lord quickly completely, then the Lord will deliver us from the enemy and save us. Let us submit ourselves in this manner.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
