“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 107: 18, 19

Their soul abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near to the gates of death.

Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We must be dependant only upon the Lord because the Lord has given us, the bride, the church a Saviour.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we must safeguard ourselves by not moving away from the truth so that the Lord does not remove the lampstand that is within our soul, the bride, the church.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 13: 1 – 6 In the twenty-third year of Joash the son of Ahaziah, king of Judah, Jehoahaz the son of Jehu became king over Israel in Samaria and reigned seventeen years.

And he did evil in the sight of the Lord and followed the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who had made Israel sin. He did not depart from them.

Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel, and He delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Ben-Hadad the son of Hazael, all their days.

So Jehoahaz pleaded with the Lord, and the Lord listened to him; for He saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.

Then the Lord gave Israel a deliverer, so that they escaped from under the hand of the Syrians; and the children of Israel dwelt in their tents as before.

Nevertheless they did not depart from the sins of the house of Jeroboam, who had made Israel sin, but walked in them; and the wooden image also remained in Samaria.

In the above-mentioned verses, in the twenty-third year of Joash the son of Ahaziah, king of Judah, Jehoahaz the son of Jehu became king over Israel in Samaria and reigned seventeen years.

My dear people, the above-mentioned words are given as a pattern for us. That is, many among us even though we are anointed by the Lord we do not leave some of the idols in our soul. Those who are in this manner, when the Lord oppresses the soul with the deeds of Syria, which are wicked thoughts then they will not be able to bear it and look to the Lord in pain and pray. The merciful God who listens to this hears the oppression of such people and to deliver them from such oppression so he will raise up the Saviour Christ within them. After that, through Christ they will be delivered from the oppression and will dwell in their tents. But they will not think how the Lord saved them and will not leave the sins of Jeroboam from them and will walk in them only. If we are in this manner, the wooden image of Samaria will be in us only. Therefore, my dear people in Christ we must think regarding how the Lord delivered us and made us enter into the tent and how the Lord removed us from all the difficulties and saved us and to grow in his grace we must leave all the idol images, idolatry thoughts with our whole mind and let us submit ourselves to be dependant only upon the Lord.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
