“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

2 Corinthians 9: 7

So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should submit ourselves first as an offering to the Lord.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated the changing of us, the bride, the church into Zion.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 12: 1 - 3 In the seventh year of Jehu, Jehoash became king, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Zibiah of Beersheba.

Jehoash did what was right in the sight of the Lord all the days in which Jehoiada the priest instructed him.

But the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.

In the above-mentioned verses, in the seventh year of Jehu, Jehoash became king, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Zibiah of Beersheba. Jehoash did what was right in the sight of the Lord all the days in which Jehoiada the priest instructed him. But the high places were not taken away; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places. And Jehoash said to the priests in 2 Kings 12: 4, 5 And Jehoash said to the priests, “All the money of the dedicated gifts that are brought into the house of the Lord—each man’s census money, each man’s assessment money—and all the money that a man purposes in his heart to bring into the house of the Lord,

let the priests take it themselves, each from his constituency; and let them repair the damages of the temple, wherever any dilapidation is found.”

The priests who heard the above-mentioned words of the Lord because they did not repair the damages of the temple, so king Jehoash called the priests, and said to them, “Why have you not repaired the damages of the temple? Now therefore, do not take more money from your constituency, but deliver it for repairing the damages of the temple.” And the priests agreed that they would neither receive more money from the people, nor repair the damages of the temple. Then Jehoiada the priest took a chest, bored a hole in its lid, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one comes into the house of the Lord; and the priests who kept the door put there all the money brought into the house of the Lord. So it was, whenever they saw that there was much money in the chest, that the king’s scribe and the high priest came up and put it in bags and counted the money that was found in the house of the Lord. Then they gave the money, which had been apportioned, into the hands of those who did the work, who had the oversight of the house of the Lord; and they paid it out to the carpenters and builders who worked on the house of the Lord, and to masons and stonecutters, and for buying timber and hewn stone, to repair the damage of the house of the Lord, and for all that was paid out to repair the temple. However there were not made for the house of the Lord basins of silver, trimmers, sprinkling-bowls, trumpets, any articles of gold or articles of silver, from the money brought into the house of the Lord. But they gave that to the workmen, and they repaired the house of the Lord with it. Moreover they did not require an account from the men into whose hand they delivered the money to be paid to workmen, for they dealt faithfully.

When we observe the above-mentioned words of the Lord, it is being shown as a pattern for the spiritual life in our lives. That is, receiving anointing within us depends on the deeds of the true servants of the Lord who are leading us in the spiritual path. This is because when Jehoiada was the priest, Joash was being anointed as king at the age of seven years. Therefore, within us if we also live in the teaching of Christ truthfully in our young age also the Lord will anoint us. Not only that but if we will be truthful in the teaching of the Lord we will learn to walk perfectly and honestly. Also, our spirit, soul and body should be offered to the Lord as a holy offering. Not only that but our body, which is the temple of Christ should always be without damage by the word of God in our spiritual life we must be as those who repair the damages that occur. Also, the servants of the Lord should not receive the offering that is being given for the church of God in their hands. Also, for the building of the church whatever offering is being given should be used only for the building of the church and should not be used for any other thing even in the church. After that the thing that we must know is that after we have given the offering for the work, we should not ask accounts to those who have received it. Also, those who are working should be truthful people to the Lord. Therefore, my dear people in Christ those who are reading this should keep this in mind in our lives if there are any mistakes that occurred then we must confess our sins at the feet of the Lord and submit and safeguard ourselves so that again such mistakes should not occur.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
