Psalms 84: 5

Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should remove the calves, gold and silver that we wear and if we will be as those with zeal for the Lord then the Lord will reward us accordingly.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that in we, the bride, the church each one of us should fight with zeal for the truth of the Lord.

Along with that the thing that we must know is that using Jehu God is punishing the whole family of Ahab. This is because in 2 Kings 9: 7 – 9 the words that the Lord said to Jehu is that You shall strike down the house of Ahab your master, that I may avenge the blood of My servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the Lord, at the hand of Jezebel. 

For the whole house of Ahab shall perish; and I will cut off from Ahab all the males in Israel, both bond and free. 

So I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah.

In the above-mentioned verses what is written is that you shall strike down the house of Ahab your master. Also, he said that I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah. To do it in this manner, the Lord anointed Jehu with great power. But he destroyed the family of Ahab completely, he brought the sacred pillars out of the temple of Baal and burned them. Also, he and the eighty people along with him broke down the sacred pillar of Baal and tore down the temple of Baal and made it a refuse dump to this day. In this manner, even though the Lord gave him great power and though the Lord blessed his generations the Lord says that he took no heed to walk in the law of the Lord God of Israel with all his heart; for he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam, who had made Israel sin. In this manner only many among us receive the anointing from the Lord and attain power but do not give our heart completely to the true verses of the Lord. That is, many people say they are Christians and though they stop worshipping idols made of wood and mud but in their bodies, they wear gold, silver made by craftsmen, and they do not change that and think that what they are doing is right and they think that the power that the Lord has given them is enough. We must understand that with such people eternal life will not abide in them. Regarding this only the Lord says in Luke 9: 23 – 26 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. 

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? 

For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.

My dear people, in the above-mentioned verses, we must find the things which we must put away from our lives and put them away and fulfil the will of the Lord and correct our lives and if we will show zeal for the Lord then the Lord will reward us. We must keep this in mind and each one of us should make ourselves steadfast in Christ and strengthen ourselves and submit ourselves to grow in spiritual growth.
