“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Isaiah 59: 17
For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing and was clad with zeal as a cloak.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church with the anointing that we received from the Lord we must be with complete zeal for the Lord.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should receive the Holy anointing from him to do the work of the Lord.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 9: 11 – 21 Then Jehu came out to the servants of his master, and one said to him, “Is all well? Why did this madman come to you?” And he said to them, “You know the man and his babble.”
And they said, “A lie! Tell us now.” So he said, “Thus and thus he spoke to me, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord: “I have anointed you king over Israel.”
Then each man hastened to take his garment and put it under him on the top of the steps; and they blew trumpets, saying, “Jehu is king!”
So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had been defending Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, against Hazael king of Syria.
But King Joram had returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds which the Syrians had inflicted on him when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, “If you are so minded, let no one leave or escape from the city to go and tell it in Jezreel.”
So Jehu rode in a chariot and went to Jezreel, for Joram was laid up there; and Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to see Joram.
Now a watchman stood on the tower in Jezreel, and he saw the company of Jehu as he came, and said, “I see a company of men.” And Joram said, “Get a horseman and send him to meet them, and let him say, ‘Is it peace?’”
So the horseman went to meet him, and said, “Thus says the king: ‘Is it peace?’ And Jehu said, “What have you to do with peace? Turn around and follow me.” So the watchman reported, saying, “The messenger went to them, but is not coming back.”
Then he sent out a second horseman who came to them, and said, “Thus says the king: ‘Is it peace?’ And Jehu answered, “What have you to do with peace? Turn around and follow me.”
So the watchman reported, saying, “He went up to them and is not coming back; and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi, for he drives furiously!”
Then Joram said, “Make ready.” And his chariot was made ready. Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot; and they went out to meet Jehu and met him on the property of Naboth the Jezreelite.
In the above-mentioned verses, after the Lord anointed Jehu then he came out to the servants of his master, and one said to him, “Is all well? Why did this madman come to you?” And he said to them, “You know the man and his babble.” And they said, “A lie! Tell us now.” So he said, “Thus and thus he spoke to me, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord: “I have anointed you king over Israel.” Then each man hastened to take his garment and put it under him on the top of the steps; and they blew trumpets, saying, “Jehu is king!” So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat, the son of Nimshi, conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had been defending Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, against Hazael king of Syria. But King Joram had returned to Jezreel to recover from the wounds which the Syrians had inflicted on him when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, “If you are so minded, let no one leave or escape from the city to go and tell it in Jezreel.” So Jehu rode in a chariot and went to Jezreel, for Joram was laid up there; and Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to see Joram. Now a watchman stood on the tower in Jezreel, and he saw the company of Jehu as he came, and said, “I see a company of men.” And Joram said, “Get a horseman and send him to meet them, and let him say, ‘Is it peace?’” So the horseman went to meet him, and said, “Thus says the king: ‘Is it peace?’ And Jehu said, “What have you to do with peace? Then Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot; and they went out to meet Jehu and met him on the property of Naboth the Jezreelite.
My dear people, in the previous days when we meditated upon the verses of the Lord when Naboth was stoned and killed due to the advice of Jezebel, the wife of Ahab his blood was licked by dogs and therefore we meditated regarding the curse that the Lord put upon the house of Ahab. To fulfil the things that the Lord said and to fulfil his will many things happened and then according to what they said the son of Ahab, Joram met Jehu on the property of Naboth. For this, the Lord is using Elisha and sending one of the sons of the prophets and anointing him. Therefore, my dear people in our life what the Lord is showing as a pattern is that in the vineyard of Christ, which is our soul the deeds of the harlot which are there which do not allow us to yield fruit so that they do not follow us and to be completely removed without any root so that they do not grow again if we get rid of them completely then only we will receive the eternal salvation and grow in grace and give good fruit and do the will of the Lord and grow in the Spirit and we can safeguard it till the end. For this the Lord is destroying the family of Ahab and his generations completely and this is being shown as a pattern. In this manner, we must safely safeguard the anointing that we have received and will complete zeal for the Lord let us submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
