“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Isaiah 42: 1
“Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Our lamp, the bride, the church (Christ) should be safeguarded so that it does not stop burning.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that for us, the bride, the church it is difficult to receive forgiveness from the Lord in our last moments.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 8: 16 – 29 Now in the fifth year of Joram the son of Ahab, king of Israel, Jehoshaphat having been king of Judah, Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat began to reign as king of Judah.
He was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, just as the house of Ahab had done, for the daughter of Ahab was his wife; and he did evil in the sight of the Lord.
Yet the Lord would not destroy Judah, for the sake of His servant David, as He promised him to give a lamp to him and his sons forever.
In his days Edom revolted against Judah’s authority and made a king over themselves.
So Joram went to Zair, and all his chariots with him. Then he rose by night and attacked the Edomites who had surrounded him and the captains of the chariots; and the troops fled to their tents.
Thus Edom has been in revolt against Judah’s authority to this day. And Libnah revolted at that time.
Now the rest of the acts of Joram, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?
So Joram rested with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the City of David. Then Ahaziah his son reigned in his place.
In the twelfth year of Joram the son of Ahab, king of Israel, Ahaziah the son of Jehoram, king of Judah, began to reign.
Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Athaliah the granddaughter of Omri, king of Israel.
And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the Lord, like the house of Ahab, for he was the son-in-law of the house of Ahab.
Now he went with Joram the son of Ahab to war against Hazael king of Syria at Ramoth Gilead; and the Syrians wounded Joram.
Then King Joram went back to Jezreel to recover from the wounds which the Syrians had inflicted on him at Ramah, when he fought against Hazael king of Syria. And Ahaziah the son of Jehoram, king of Judah, went down to see Joram the son of Ahab in Jezreel, because he was sick.
In the above-mentioned verses, Hazael took a thick cloth and dipped it in water and spread it over the face of Ben- Hadad, the king of Syria so that he died; and the Hazael became king of Syria. My dear people, the above-mentioned verses God is showing us to cleanse us and to show us as a pattern how our soul becomes sick. That is, to destroy the grace that we have received from the Lord in our soul, the devil comes and deceives us. In this manner, when he comes to deceive us, we also get deceived, and we do the wicked deeds of Satan. After that whatever we do the enemy will make us do it according to the desire of our mind. In this manner, when our soul becomes bold to do wickedness then in our life there will always be distress. Why this distress is coming is that we must never have fellowship with those who do things which are not right. In this manner if we will keep contact with those who do wickedness then we will also become wicked like them and because of this God says in Proverbs 24: 1 that do not be envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them. Also, if we remain with such people and be deceived, then the Lord is sending deception within us and it is written so in 2 Thessalonians 2: 12. Also, God is safeguarding us so that the lamp that is in us will not be spoiled. The reason for this is for God to fulfil the promise that he gave he is watching us with patience. But he does not allow the lamp to stop burning but he makes that lamp burn dimly. The reason for burning dimly is due to our wickedness. But God does not make the lamp burning dimly to stop burning. This is because when we do the will of the Lord from then it starts burning brightly and will be shining. Therefore my dear people, in our soul the life of Christ (lamp) should not be spoiled and if it is burning dimly then we must be careful so that our lamp should shine brightly we must leave all the wicked ways and submit ourselves completely to the Lord.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
