“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 80: 17, 18
Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself.
Then we will not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
If our soul, the bride, the church has been revived then in our back slidden life if we repent again then the Lord will give us back again the goodness (eternal life) that we have lost.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that if we, the bride, the church removes all our wickedness and cleanse ourselves, then the Lord will satisfy us with his goodness.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 8: 1 – 6 Then Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying, “Arise and go, you and your household, and stay wherever you can; for the Lord has called for a famine, and furthermore, it will come upon the land for seven years.”
So the woman arose and did according to the saying of the man of God, and she went with her household and dwelt in the land of the Philistines seven years.
It came to pass, at the end of seven years, that the woman returned from the land of the Philistines; and she went to make an appeal to the king for her house and for her land.
Then the king talked with Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, saying, “Tell me, please, all the great things Elisha has done.”
Now it happened, as he was telling the king how he had restored the dead to life, that there was the woman whose son he had restored to life, appealing to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, “My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life.”
And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed a certain officer for her, saying, “Restore all that was hers, and all the proceeds of the field from the day that she left the land until now.”
In the above-mentioned verses, Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had restored to life, saying, “Arise and go, you and your household, and stay wherever you can; for the Lord has called for a famine, and furthermore, it will come upon the land for seven years.” So the woman arose and did according to the saying of the man of God, and she went with her household and dwelt in the land of the Philistines seven years. It came to pass, at the end of seven years, that the woman returned from the land of the Philistines; and she went to make an appeal to the king for her house and for her land. Then the king talked with Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, saying, “Tell me, please, all the great things Elisha has done.” Now it happened, as he was telling the king how he had restored the dead to life, that there was the woman whose son he had restored to life, appealing to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, “My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life.” And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed a certain officer for her, saying, “Restore all that was hers, and all the proceeds of the field from the day that she left the land until now.”
My dear people, when we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses because the Lord is bringing a famine in the land of Israel so Elisha, the man of God is telling the woman whose son he had restored to life, that arise and go, you and your household, and stay wherever you can; because he said that there will be a famine for seven years so she went and lived in the land of the Philistines. God is showing this as a pattern that for our soul which has been revived because we will not be getting sufficient food, she is doing the deeds of the Philistines and also because famine is occurring in the land of Israel if they repent again and come to the Lord and plead since her soul has already been revived so their appeal is reaching the presence of the king and because it reached the presence of the king so the king gave what they pleaded and asked all the house of God, the goodness of the soul and with the fruits of the land, the bride, the church and the Lord blesses us with this and all the goodness that we have lost may the Lord will give them to us. In this manner, let us submit ourselves so that the Lord will give us the blessings which we are supposed to get.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
