“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 119: 128
Therefore all Your precepts concerning all things I consider to be right; I hate every false way.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
In the entrance of our gate (our inner man), the bride, the church we should not have leprosy and we should receive the deliverance from the Lord.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should safeguard the salvation which the Lord has given till the end.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 7: 1 - 8 Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’
So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” And he said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”
Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die?
If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die.”
And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there.
For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!”
Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact—their tents, their horses, and their donkeys—and they fled for their lives.
And when these lepers came to the outskirts of the camp, they went into one tent and ate and drank, and carried from it silver and gold and clothing, and went and hid them; then they came back and entered another tent, and carried some from there also, and went and hid it.
In the above-mentioned verses, due to the famine in the land of Israel the king of Israel sent a messenger to Elisha and asked why should I wait for the Lord any longer? Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’ So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” And he said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.” Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die? If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die.” And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there. For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!” Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact—their tents, their horses, and their donkeys—and they fled for their lives.
My dear people, the above-mentioned words if our spiritual eyes are not opened then within us a famine where we cannot eat the word of God will come and the Lord is showing us this as a pattern. That is, in Samaria the reason for the famine coming is that the king of Syria gathered all his army and besieged the land and due to that the king of Israel realized that this thing is from the Lord so the Lord is commanding for the famine to be removed and he is speaking this through the prophet Elisha regarding Samaria and he is informing that tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria. Also, to the person who did not believe in the words of the Lord he is telling that you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it. When we see this if our spiritual eyes are not opened then we cannot eat the fruits that the Lord is giving us, and he is explaining this. Also, it is written that four leprous men were at the entrance of the gate. But they are saying that why are we sitting here until we die? If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die. And they rose at twilight and came to the Syrian camp, but no one was there. That is, if we will see this carefully if we are living in sin then they will be a decrease in food and our soul will die and wherever we may be if we do sin our soul will die. Therefore, the enemy will drown us with sin. In this manner when we live in the bondage of the enemy then the Lord will descend with his army of angels and to make them leave their evil ways and to make them repent, he is making their soul to escape. In this manner, the Lord is redeeming and delivering the life of those who are stuck in sin from destruction. My dear people in Christ who are reading this if we also do sin, we will be as lepers and the Lord will manifest as the one who satisfies the thirst of each one of us. In this manner we must safeguard our life from destruction first and to deliver our soul from the hands of the enemy let us submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
