“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

John 6: 27

Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should attain the strength of the Lord and do the work of the Lord.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that not only us, the bride, the church but we must be helpful so that our neighbours also receive the life of Christ.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 4: 8 – 25 Now it happened one day that Elisha went to Shunem, where there was a notable woman, and she persuaded him to eat some food. So it was, as often as he passed by, he would turn in there to eat some food.

And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly.

Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there.”

And it happened one day that he came there, and he turned in to the upper room and lay down there.

Then he said to Gehazi his servant, “Call this Shunammite woman.” When he had called her, she stood before him.

And he said to him, “Say now to her, ‘Look, you have been concerned for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered, “I dwell among my own people.”

So he said, “What then is to be done for her?” And Gehazi answered, “Actually, she has no son, and her husband is old.”

So he said, “Call her.” When he had called her, she stood in the doorway.

Then he said, “About this time next year you shall embrace a son.” And she said, “No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!”

But the woman conceived and bore a son when the appointed time had come, of which Elisha had told her.

And the child grew. Now it happened one day that he went out to his father, to the reapers.

And he said to his father, “My head, my head!” So he said to a servant, “Carry him to his mother.”

When he had taken him and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.

And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, shut the door upon him, and went out.

Then she called to her husband, and said, “Please send me one of the young men and one of the donkeys, that I may run to the man of God and come back.”

So he said, “Why are you going to him today? It is neither the New Moon nor the Sabbath.” And she said, “It is well.”

Then she saddled a donkey, and said to her servant, “Drive, and go forward; do not slacken the pace for me unless I tell you.”

And so she departed and went to the man of God at Mount Carmel.

In the above-mentioned verses, it happened one day that Elisha went to Shunem, where there was a notable woman, and she persuaded him to eat some food. So it was, as often as he passed by, he would turn in there to eat some food. And she said to her husband, “Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly. My dear people, when we meditate upon the above-mentioned words of God what the Lord is showing us as a pattern is that our Lord Jesus Christ is coming within us and eating food and in Luke 7: 34 The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Look, a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’

As in the above-mentioned verses in our soul, the house he comes and has food, and this is explaining that. Regarding that, in Revelation 3: 20, 21 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me.

To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

Also, in our soul he comes and eats food and gives us rest, grace and food for our soul and when he blesses us and makes a new creation within us and blesses us. In this manner in our soul if the image of Christ arises, we must wait for its growth and receive grace and after that we must as those who grow in grace and attain the strength of the Lord. After that only we should start doing the harvest of the soul, which is the work of the Lord. This is because if before we receive the strength of the Lord if we do the work of the Lord then like that son said his head is paining, we also say head is paining then it will come to us as a evil burden of the head such that we cannot bear it and our soul becomes weak and dies. If we are in this manner, we must realize the things mentioned and we must begin our race of faith again and come and reach the Lord and again renew our life and we must run to receive life. In this manner let us submit ourselves to the Lord.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
