“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Colossians 1: 28
Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Not only us, the bride, the church but we must be helpful so that our neighbours also receive the life of Christ.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated regarding how the Lord removes the prides of our soul, the bride, the church.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Kings 4: 1, 2 A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.”
So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”
In the above-mentioned verses, a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves.” So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.” Then he said in 2 Kings 4: 3, 4 Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbours—empty vessels; do not gather just a few.
And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels and set aside the full ones.”
According to the above-mentioned words, she did, and she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “Bring me another vessel.” And he said to her, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.”
My dear people, when we look at the above-mentioned verses, in our life how Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit makes our house and the soul of those near us be filled with fullness of grace and he is showing this as a pattern and explaining this. That is, when we see many people are fearing the word of the Lord and walking according to it. But those who have not received the life of Christ within themselves God is showing as a pattern as those without a husband. Those in this manner their soul (inner man and outer man means two sons) Satan is making them under his bondage and so that woman, the bride, the church when she says that to the Lord then the Lord is asking us what you want. Then he is analysing our house, that is our soul. The Lord who analyses in this manner is asking us: what is there in your house and if there is one jar of oil he is saying go to the neighbours and borrow the vessels means it is not enough that the salvation that we have received remains only with us, we must give our neighbours also the salvation that we have received and saying this he is telling to get empty vessels from the neighbour and fill that also. In this manner, that woman is asking and collecting them and shut the door and she pours in those vessels also. Then when he says to bring one more vessel, she is saying there are no more vessels and the oil ceased. From this what we must know is that because God has saved us we must tell the love of Christ to others and they should also be delivered from sin and be saved and that is the will of the Lord and we must know that when we guide others also in the path of Christ our inner man and outer man, that is our two sons when they are being delivered from the bondage of Satan then the Lord is blessing the things for our life. Therefore the Lord said in Matthew 6: 33 that seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; then all these things shall be added unto you. Therefore let us all submit ourselves to possess such kind of blessings.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
