“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Romans 14: 16, 17 Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil;
for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
May you grow in the grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and in the knowlege of knowing him. Glory to him now and forever more. Amen.
Hallelujah
Where is the Kingdom of God?
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon yesterday God shows us as a pattern through Joseph regarding Our Lord Jesus Christ's food and how he drinks in us and how he harvests our soul and dwells within us and how he eats and drinks within us. We have been meditating about this.
In Luke 22: 29 And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me.
What is this kingdom? This is God's kingdom. Our Lord Jesus Christ says that we must only seek the kingdom of God. But we are searching, seeking and running after the world. That is what Jesus Christ is telling us in Luke 12: 29 - 32 “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.
For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.
But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
But each one of us eventhough we have spoken and heard a lot of God's words - which is the truth we are searching, seeking and running after things of the world. But what happened during the days of the Apostles? We see that people were repenting.
Acts 2: 38 - 41 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.”
Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
The way they repented is that they left behind all sinful habits which are worldly thoughts, remembering worldly things, bad characters and pleasures. Acts 2: 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Acts 2: 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common,
and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
But let us think what kind of repentance is there in us? Have we left any of our old thoughts? Our wordly thoughts, or our jealousy, worldly worries, need to earn, need to collect for our generation, need to live a decorated life, need to enjoy with pleasure and worldly desires have we left these and repented? Think for yourselves. If we are seeking heaven without leaving these things is there any meaning for our repentance? Let us think ourselves.
If we keep all such things in our soul and say that we are saved there is no meaning. The apostles kept all their possessions and earnings everything for God at the Apostles feet and they all had all things in common.
My dear people of God, how much difference is there between our lives and their lives? Since such deeds are evil, God is judging the whole world. If we will repent today, God will remove all the pestilences and plagues. We must all obey God's commandments. Also our soul, when it repents, it becomes the kingdom of God. That is what, God shows as a pattern through Joseph and his brothers.
Joseph tells to put his cup, the silver cup and the grain money in the mouth of the sack of his brother Benjamin. God shows the sack as our soul and shows the cup, the silver cup as the kingdom of God which will come in that soul as a pattern which is - (Our Lord Jesus Christ will be manifested in our soul). And God is showing us as a pattern that all the earthly blessings that God gives us belongs to God. That is what the Apostles did. Those Apostles did the glorious work of God. People were getting saved and they were being added to God's church.
And when they waited, Holy Spirit descended on everyone the same way on all those who waited on Him.
My dear people of God, what is happening in these days? Think and see. Due to the thinking that we must all earn for ourselves, even though we wait for many days nothing is happening. Let us think. Anywhere in these days, or in any churches or any place has anything happened like what happened in the Day of Pentecost? Let us think. In these days, the reason why God is not doing such things is because people's souls are filled with world so the kingdom of God is not able to come to all in the same manner. But few people are making their soul empty, in the midst of them, God is shining.
Luke 17: 20 - 23 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation;
nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”
Then He said to the disciples, “The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.
And they will say to you, ‘Look here!’ or ‘Look there!’ Do not go after them or follow them.
For as the lightning that flashes out of one part under heaven shines to the other part under heaven, so also the Son of Man will be in His day.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all.
