“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 6: 10
Let all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; Let them turn back and be ashamed suddenly.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
In our soul, the bride, the church we should never leave God and thoughts of pride should not arise.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated regarding the explanations that we, the bride, the church should not hesitate to tell the words that the Lord gives.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Kings 22: 29 – 34 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead.
And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will disguise myself and go into battle; but you put on your robes.” So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle.
Now the king of Syria had commanded the thirty-two captains of his chariots, saying, “Fight with no one small or great, but only with the king of Israel.”
So it was, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, “Surely it is the king of Israel!” Therefore they turned aside to fight against him, and Jehoshaphat cried out.
And it happened, when the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.
Now a certain man drew a bow at random and struck the king of Israel between the joints of his armour. So he said to the driver of his chariot, “Turn around and take me out of the battle, for I am wounded.”
In the above-mentioned verses, even after Micaiah regarding the king of Israel said that “If you ever return in peace, the Lord has not spoken by me.” And he said, “Take heed, all you people!” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead. And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “I will disguise myself and go into battle; but you put on your robes.” So the king of Israel disguised himself and went into battle. Now the king of Syria had commanded the thirty-two captains of his chariots, saying, “Fight with no one small or great, but only with the king of Israel.” So it was, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, “Surely it is the king of Israel!” Therefore they turned aside to fight against him, and Jehoshaphat cried out. And it happened, when the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him. Now a certain man drew a bow at random and struck the king of Israel between the joints of his armour. So he said to the driver of his chariot, “Turn around and take me out of the battle, for I am wounded.” Then in 1 Kings 22: 35 – 37 The battle increased that day; and the king was propped up in his chariot, facing the Syrians, and died at evening. The blood ran out from the wound onto the floor of the chariot.
Then, as the sun was going down, a shout went throughout the army, saying, “Every man to his city, and every man to his own country!”
So the king died and was brought to Samaria. And they buried the king in Samaria.
According to what is mentioned in the above verses, the king of Israel is being buried in Samaria. Then someone washed the chariot at a pool in Samaria, and the dogs licked up his blood while the harlots bathed, according to the word of the Lord which He had spoken. Now the rest of the acts of Ahab, and all that he did, the ivory house which he built and all the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? So Ahab rested with his fathers. Then Ahaziah his son reigned in his place.
My dear people, when we see here God is showing here as a pattern the things for our cleansing. That is, to remove the deeds of Ahab, which are the thoughts of pride the Lord is working. That is, by the evil deeds of Syrians he is destroying the thoughts of pride that is arising in our soul. Therefore we must not keep any high thoughts of pride and without the grace of God in any manner we cannot cheat anyone and escape and for this God is explaining regarding these things to us clearly. Also, even if we think we can leave God and do anything our soul will be killed and the devil only will lick our blood, and this is its meaning. In this manner, devil licking our blood means that if we do not obey the words of the Lord and doing our own will and when these things are removed from our lives and when Christ removes all the thoughts of pride that arises in the souls of all the people and cleanses us and for us to humble ourselves he himself reveals himself as the King of Kings in us and let us submit ourselves to be made holy.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
