“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Ezekiel 3: 27

But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’ He who hears, let him hear; and he who refuses, let him refuse; for they are a rebellious house.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should not hesitate to tell the words that the Lord gives.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should receive the counsel of the Lord and be as those who do everything according to it.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Kings 22: 18 And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, “Did I not tell you he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?”

In the above-mentioned verses, Ahab the king of Israel did not believe the prophetic words which Micaiah said and spoke to Jehoshaphat and Jehoshaphat said to him in 1 Kings 22: 19 – 23 Then Micaiah said, “Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left.

And the Lord said, ‘Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner.

Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’

The Lord said to him, ‘In what way?’ So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And the Lord said, ‘You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.’

Therefore look! The Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the Lord has declared disaster against you.”

“Therefore hear the word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left. And the Lord said, ‘Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ The Lord said to him, ‘In what way?’ So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And the Lord said, ‘You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.’ Therefore look! The Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the Lord has declared disaster against you.” Now Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah went near and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said, “Which way did the spirit from the Lord go from me to speak to you?” And Micaiah said, “Indeed, you shall see on that day when you go into an inner chamber to hide!” So the king of Israel said, “Take Micaiah, and return him to Amon the governor of the city and to Joash the king’s son; and say, ‘Thus says the king: “Put this fellow in prison and feed him with bread of affliction and water of affliction, until I come in peace.” But Micaiah said, “If you ever return in peace, the Lord has not spoken by me.” And he said, “Take heed, all you people!”

My dear people, when we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses if we will do things which make the Lord angry wholeheartedly and by our disobedience, he will somehow make us fall and we can understand this from the previous portions. That is, due to the evil that Ahab did to destroy him the Lord sent lying spirit in the mouths of all the prophets that he had called. But with the counsel of the king of Judah, Jehoshaphat he called Micaiah and asked him the counsel of the Lord. But he also first said you can go to fight in Ramoth the thing will prosper. The Lord will deliver it in the king’s hands. But with doubt when the king asked him how many times, I should ask you to swear then later he truthfully tells the things that are going to happen. In this manner, because he revealed the truth, he is not only beaten on the cheek but he is being pressured and oppressed by the king with life in prison, bread of affliction and water of affliction ordered by the king. But the Lord even if his children are oppressed or treated wickedly does not forsake them and safeguards them and he is the one who fulfils his word. In this manner only dear people in Christ the true people of God are tortured by others and are oppressed in different ways. But till the words of the Lord are fulfilled if we are patient then he will do what he has said whether good or evil. But to those who are truthful to the Lord, to them the Lord does only good. Also by God, if we have done any good things for a person and if they will do evil unto us then evil will never depart from their house and the word of the Lord says this in Proverbs 17: 13.

Therefore, we must never do evil to anyone by ourselves or in our heart think evil must come to others such thoughts should not come in our soul and we must make ourselves holy and safeguard ourselves. Also, even if we are oppressed from all sides, we should not be weary and be with steadfast hope within Christ. In this manner, we should wait for the Lord as those with truth. Let us submit ourselves.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
