“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Isaiah 63: 10

But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; so He turned Himself against them as an enemy, and He fought against them.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church in our spiritual life we should safeguard ourselves so that our soul does not become sullen and displeased.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should not mix with strangers and should safeguard ourselves.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Kings 20: 35 – 43 Now a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his neighbour by the word of the Lord, “Strike me, please.” And the man refused to strike him.

Then he said to him, “Because you have not obeyed the voice of the Lord, surely, as soon as you depart from me, a lion shall kill you.” And as soon as he left him, a lion found him and killed him.

And he found another man, and said, “Strike me, please.” So the man struck him, inflicting a wound.

Then the prophet departed and waited for the king by the road and disguised himself with a bandage over his eyes.

Now as the king passed by, he cried out to the king and said, “Your servant went out into the midst of the battle; and there, a man came over and brought a man to me, and said, ‘Guard this man; if by any means he is missing, your life shall be for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.’

While your servant was busy here and there, he was gone.” Then the king of Israel said to him, “So shall your judgment be; you yourself have decided it.”

And he hastened to take the bandage away from his eyes; and the king of Israel recognized him as one of the prophets.

Then he said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Because you have let slip out of your hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction, therefore your life shall go for his life, and your people for his people.’”

So the king of Israel went to his house sullen and displeased and came to Samaria.

When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, after Ahab the king of Israel and Ben-Hadad the king of Syria made a treaty between themselves, a certain man of the sons of the prophets said to his neighbour by the word of the Lord, “Strike me, please.” And the man refused to strike him. Now as the king passed by, he cried out to the king and said, “Your servant went out into the midst of the battle; and there, a man came over and brought a man to me, and said, ‘Guard this man; if by any means he is missing, your life shall be for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.’ While your servant was busy here and there, he was gone.” Then the king of Israel said to him, “So shall your judgment be; you yourself have decided it.” And he hastened to take the bandage away from his eyes; and the king of Israel recognized him as one of the prophets. Then he said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Because you have let slip out of your hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction; therefore your life shall go for his life, and your people for his people.’” So the king of Israel went to his house sullen and displeased and came to Samaria.

My dear people, the above-mentioned are done as a pattern means for our complete soul to be saved if we give place for the hindrance which are the deeds of Ahab and the evil thoughts which are the deeds of Syria to come again and again within us then the Lord will send Christ as a prophet within us and will show us clearly if the deeds that we are doing are good or bad. But if we do not destroy completely the evil thoughts from us and according to the situation if we will change the true words of God then it will result in us losing the eternal life that he has given us. Not only that but he gives us into the land of the Gentiles as captives. If our soul is always oppressed by the enemy, then our life will always be sullen and displeased. Therefore we must never be like Ahab and give place to things which are considered as the enemies of God in our soul, but we must submit them to the Lord to destroy them completely. Also, each one of us should not lose the heavenly goodness that the Lord has given us and everyday we must eat his heavenly food and live satisfied in that so that our soul will not be sullen and displeased and let us submit ourselves to live with Christ.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
