“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
John 15: 7
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Our soul, the bride, the church should always abide in Christ so that we do not fall down due to the enemy – a pattern.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should completely destroy the evil teaching that is staying and working in our soul.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Kings 20: 22 – 24 And the prophet came to the king of Israel and said to him, “Go, strengthen yourself; take note, and see what you should do, for in the spring of the year the king of Syria will come up against you.”
Then the servants of the king of Syria said to him, “Their gods are gods of the hills. Therefore they were stronger than we; but if we fight against them in the plain, surely we will be stronger than they.
So do this thing: Dismiss the kings, each from his position, and put captains in their places;
When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, the Syrians are being destroyed by the Israelites. And the prophet came to the king of Israel and said to him, “Go, strengthen yourself; take note, and see what you should do, for in the spring of the year the king of Syria will come up against you.” Then the servants of the king of Syria said to him, “Their gods are gods of the hills. Therefore they were stronger than we; but if we fight against them in the plain, surely we will be stronger than they. So do this thing: Dismiss the kings, each from his position, and put captains in their places; and you shall muster an army like the army that you have lost, horse for horse and chariot for chariot. Then we will fight against them in the plain; surely, we will be stronger than they.” And he listened to their voice and did so. So it was, in the spring of the year, that Ben-Hadad mustered the Syrians and in 1 Kings 20: 26 – 28 So it was, in the spring of the year, that Ben-Hadad mustered the Syrians and went up to Aphek to fight against Israel.
And the children of Israel were mustered and given provisions, and they went against them. Now the children of Israel encamped before them like two little flocks of goats, while the Syrians filled the countryside.
Then a man of God came and spoke to the king of Israel, and said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Because the Syrians have said, “The Lord is God of the hills, but He is not God of the valleys,” therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’”
In the above-mentioned verses, the land was filled with Syrians. And the children of Israel were mustered and given provisions, and they went against them. Now the children of Israel encamped before them like two little flocks of goats. Then a man of God came and spoke to the king of Israel, and said, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Because the Syrians have said, “The Lord is God of the hills, but He is not God of the valleys,” therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am the Lord.’” Our God is not only the God of the hills but also the God of the valleys.
My dear people all these things are for a pattern. That is, in our lives if we will not receive the fullness of grace of Christ then evil characters, lusts and such kind of things even if we remove them from our soul, the Syrians will come frequently and once in a year and fight in our soul, and we can surely understand this. If we will keep this fact in mind and think many people in their circumstances when any problems come, they leave the true word of God and go away far from the Lord. Our God who is watching this gives us courage through the words of his prophets so that we are not defeated by the enemy and fall down and to be careful he strengthens us and the Lord defeats the foreign thoughts, which are Syrians and will established us in the truth. Let us all submit ourselves to abide forever in the true word of God and Christ.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
