Making the covenant

My dearly beloved in Christ, When we read and meditate on the verses mentioned above what we realize is that in Genesis 6:18 - But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.

Due to this, not only us but only if we accept Jesus as our own Savior as a whole family we will be protected as a family by the body of Christ. Only then we will be the God’s most loved children and possess the eternal possession in our lives.

Joshua 24: 14, 15 says - “Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord!

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Each one of us as a family should repent, be saved, follow the truth and worship God in Spirit and in truth.

Ezekiel 14: 19, 20 says - “Or if I send a pestilence into that land and pour out My fury on it in blood, and cut off from it man and beast,

even though Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, as I live,” says the Lord God, “they would deliver neither son nor daughter; they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness.

Genesis 7:22 says - All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died.

Noah and the lives of those who were with him in the ark were only saved.

Noah built an altar for the Lord and offered a clean offering to the Lord.

Genesis 8: 21, 22 says - And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground for man’s sake, although the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”

Genesis 9: 1 - So God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.

Genesis 9: 2, 3 - And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand.

Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.

Genesis 9: 4 - But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.

This is because in the blood is its life.

Genesis 9: 7 – 10 says - And as for you, be fruitful and multiply; Bring forth abundantly in the earth And multiply in it.”

Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying:

“And as for Me, behold, I establish My covenant with you and with your descendants after you,

and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ark, every beast of the earth.

The reason why God makes such a covenant is because he destroys our old sinful character and makes a new covenant with us.

In this manner, our Lord destroys our old fleshly deeds and keeps us as his sign.

Genesis 9: 13 says - I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.

Genesis 9: 14 says - It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; (The rainbow is our Lord Jesus Christ). It is the sign of our God.

Let us pray. May the Lord God bless you all.
