“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 23: 6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Our soul, the bride, the church is being led to fullness by the Lord.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that our soul, the bride, the church is the Kingdom of God.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Kings 17: 15 – 24 So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days.
The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.
Now it happened after these things that the son of the woman who owned the house became sick. And his sickness was so serious that there was no breath left in him.
So she said to Elijah, “What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come to me to bring my sin to remembrance, and to kill my son?”
And he said to her, “Give me your son.” So he took him out of her arms and carried him to the upper room where he was staying and laid him on his own bed.
Then he cried out to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, have You also brought tragedy on the widow with whom I lodge, by killing her son?”
And he stretched himself out on the child three times, and cried out to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, I pray, let this child’s soul come back to him.”
Then the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived.
And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper room into the house and gave him to his mother. And Elijah said, “See, your son lives!”
Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now by this I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is the truth.”
In the above-mentioned verses, this is a pattern of the soul of the widow of Zarepath changing into the kingdom of God. According to the word which the Lord said through Elijah the bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry. The bin of flour and the jar of oil means that in our soul the Lord Jesus has resurrected, and this is a pattern of that. Now it happened after these things that the son of the woman who owned the house became sick. And his sickness was so serious that there was no breath left in him. So she said to Elijah, “What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come to me to bring my sin to remembrance, and to kill my son?” So the man of God in 1 Kings 17: 19 And he said to her, “Give me your son.” So he took him out of her arms and carried him to the upper room where he was staying and laid him on his own bed.
In this manner, he took the child from his mother and in 1 Kings 17: 20, 21 Then he cried out to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, have You also brought tragedy on the widow with whom I lodge, by killing her son?”
And he stretched himself out on the child three times, and cried out to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, I pray, let this child’s soul come back to him.
By the above-mentioned words, when he prayed to the Lord then the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived. And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper room into the house and gave him to his mother. And Elijah said, “See, your son lives!” Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now by this I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the Lord in your mouth is the truth.”
My dear people, the words which comes from the mouth of the Lord is the truth and he is proving that here. Also, in the life of the widow of Zarepath whose soul was revived when the test of the Lord occurred, she is murmuring. But the Lord who is merciful is accepting the supplication by the man of God. Also, her soul has to come in the experience of the upper room and for this he is conducting such a test. That upper room is the place where we eat the body of Christ and drink the blood of Christ. The body of Christ as the bread and his blood as the wine he blesses and gives us and when we partake in that he is making for soul to live forever. This is what the Lord brings to fullness in the life of the widow of Zarepath. In this manner, let us submit ourselves for the Lord to lead us in the fullness of Christ and bless us.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
