“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Proverbs 20: 7

The righteous man walks in his integrity; his children are blessed after him.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should not put our name to lands.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated we, the bride, the church should not consider the prophecy of the Lord as trivial and should not despise it and we must safeguard our soul carefully.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Kings 16: 23 – 28 In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri became king over Israel, and reigned twelve years. Six years he reigned in Tirzah.

And he bought the hill of Samaria from Shemer for two talents of silver; then he built on the hill and called the name of the city which he built, Samaria, after the name of Shemer, owner of the hill.

Omri did evil in the eyes of the Lord and did worse than all who were before him.

For he walked in all the ways of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sin by which he had made Israel sin, provoking the Lord God of Israel to anger with their idols.

Now the rest of the acts of Omri which he did, and the might that he showed, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

So Omri rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria. Then Ahab his son reigned in his place.

According to the above-mentioned words because the kingdom of Omri became strong in the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri became king over Israel, and reigned twelve years.

My dear people, when we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses Omri who ruled Israel bought the hill for two talents of silver; and he put the name of its owner for the city which he built on the hill. Also, what the Lord is saying regarding Omri is that he walked worse than all the kings before him and that he walked in all the sins of Jeroboam, and it is said in this manner. Also, the evil that he did mainly was that he used the name of the owner and put the name Samaria so till this day it is considered as the land of the Gentiles. Regarding this in Psalms 49: 11 – 14 Their inner thought is that their houses will last forever, their dwelling places to all generations; They call their lands after their own names.

Nevertheless man, though in honor, does not remain; He is like the beasts that perish.

This is the way of those who are foolish, and of their posterity who approve their sayings. Selah

Like sheep they are laid in the grave; Death shall feed on them; The upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; And their beauty shall be consumed in the grave, far from their dwelling.

According to the above-mentioned verses, we must not put the name of man to lands. In this manner let us keep the above-mentioned facts in our mind and let us not do evil things like Omri and submit ourselves to the Lord.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
