“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 5: 4

For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, nor shall evil dwell with You.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should not seek the help of those who do evil against the Lord in whatever circumstance which may come for us we must not seek their help.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated we, the bride, the church should remove the high places of the idols of our forefathers and all our traditional life completely from within us.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Kings 15: 16 – 23 Now there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

And Baasha king of Israel came up against Judah, and built Ramah, that he might let none go out or come into Asa king of Judah.

Then Asa took all the silver and gold that was left in the treasuries of the house of the Lord and the treasuries of the king’s house and delivered them into the hand of his servants. And King Asa sent them to Ben-Hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying,

“Let there be a treaty between you and me, as there was between my father and your father. See, I have sent you a present of silver and gold. Come and break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, so that he will withdraw from me.”

So Ben-Hadad heeded King Asa and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel. He attacked Ijon, Dan, Abel Beth Maachah, and all Chinneroth, with all the land of Naphtali.

Now it happened, when Baasha heard it, that he stopped building Ramah, and remained in Tirzah.

Then King Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none was exempted. And they took away the stones and timber of Ramah, which Baasha had used for building; and with them King Asa built Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

The rest of all the acts of Asa, all his might, all that he did, and the cities which he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.

In the above-mentioned words of the Lord, there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days. And King Asa sent them to Ben-Hadad the son of Tabrimmon, the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying, “Let there be a treaty between you and me, as there was between my father and your father. See, I have sent you a present of silver and gold. Come and break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel, so that he will withdraw from me.” So Ben-Hadad heeded King Asa and sent the captains of his armies against the cities of Israel.

My dear people, when we meditate upon the above-mentioned words, there is war between Israel and Judah and the reason God is showing this as a pattern is that the spiritual wars that occur in our soul and he is showing the things that the soul is desiring. Also, what we are meditating is that we worship God in spirit and truth and then sometimes we leave the truthful words of God and how we do what comes in our mind and due to the undesirable things, that are occurring in our soul and the deeds that we are making us far away from God are within us and this is what is written that Basha is building Ramah. We must realize this immediately and in the spiritual growth of our life we must see and realize how we have fallen and if we will seek the help of the Lord quickly then the Lord will help us in everything. But Asa even though he did the will of the Lord he sought the help of Syria to fight against Basha. What Asa told Ben-Hadad the king of Syria was to break the treaty that he had with Basha and because he sought his help, so the Lord was angry with Asa. Therefore in his last days, he was diseased in his feet. In the same way we also in our lives if we do what our soul desires which is evil in the sight of the Lord then the Lord will punish us also. Therefore, my dear people in the Lord in any circumstance we must not seek the help of those who walk to do evil to the Lord. We must not be with them also. Let us keep this in our mind and submit ourselves to the Lord.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
