“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 106: 47
Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the Gentiles, to give thanks to Your holy name, to triumph in Your praise.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should remove the high places of the idols of our forefathers and all our traditional life completely from within us.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that the tribulations in our soul, the bride, the church are death and life
Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Kings 15: 1 – 15 In the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam the son of Nebat, Abijam became king over Judah.
He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maachah the granddaughter of Abishalom.
And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him; his heart was not loyal to the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David.
Nevertheless for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, by setting up his son after him and by establishing Jerusalem;
because David did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and had not turned aside from anything that He commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.
And there was war between Rehoboam and Jeroboam all the days of his life.
Now the rest of the acts of Abijam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? And there was war between Abijam and Jeroboam.
So Abijam rested with his fathers, and they buried him in the City of David. Then Asa his son reigned in his place.
In the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Asa became king over Judah.
And he reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem. His grandmother’s name was Maachah the granddaughter of Abishalom.
Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as did his father David.
And he banished the perverted persons from the land and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
Also he removed Maachah his grandmother from being queen mother, because she had made an obscene image of Asherah. And Asa cut down her obscene image and burned it by the Brook Kidron.
But the high places were not removed. Nevertheless Asa’s heart was loyal to the Lord all his days.
He also brought into the house of the Lord the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which he himself had dedicated: silver and gold and utensils.
In the above-mentioned verses, in the eighteenth year of King Jeroboam the son of Nebat, Abijam became king over Judah. He reigned three years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maachah the granddaughter of Abishalom. And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him; his heart was not loyal to the Lord his God, as was the heart of his father David. He also brought into the house of the Lord the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which he himself had dedicated: silver and gold and utensils. Now there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
My dear people, Israel and Judah which were united by the Lord due to the sin which Solomon did, again the Lord made it into two and only one portion in that was shining as the lamp of David to shine always and for Christ to reign over everything else and for war to always occur among them and in this manner to fight and for them to remove their traditional temples, which are the high places of the idols and in this manner if the Lord is doing many things it means that our soul should somehow be made holy and the high places of the idols in our soul should be removed and in this manner if the Lord is doing many things it means that somehow our soul should become holy and to remove the high places of the idols in the soul and by the word of God, the fire he destroys the traditions that are there in our soul completely. Also, to submit the things concerning the Lord in the temple of the Lord, the Lord is showing this as a pattern. My dear people in the Lord, from this what we must know is that in our soul for God to remove the tribulations that are there we must leave all our traditions and our spirit, soul and body should be submitted completely to him and for this let us submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
