“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 19: 13

Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should be careful not to disobey the laws that the Lord has commanded us.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should make our soul escape from the deeds of the foreign women and with an upright heart let us follow the Lord.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Kings 11: 5 – 11 For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites.

Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord, and did not fully follow the Lord, as did his father David.

Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, on the hill that is east of Jerusalem, and for Molech the abomination of the people of Ammon.

And he did likewise for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and sacrificed to their gods.

So the Lord became angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned from the Lord God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,

and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; but he did not keep what the Lord had commanded.

Therefore the Lord said to Solomon, “Because you have done this, and have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant.

In the above-mentioned verses, King Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. Therefore, the God of Israel appeared to Solomon in 1 Kings 11: 9 - 12 So the Lord became angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned from the Lord God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,

and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; but he did not keep what the Lord had commanded.

Therefore the Lord said to Solomon, “Because you have done this, and have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant.

Nevertheless I will not do it in your days, for the sake of your father David; I will tear it out of the hand of your son.

In the above-mentioned words, the Lord said because he did not do what was commanded by the Lord and since he turned his heart away from the Lord in anger, he told Solomon that because you did not follow my covenant and my statues and built high places for foreign women to burn incense, I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant. Then the Lord said that nevertheless I will not do it in your days, for the sake of your father David; I will tear it out of the hand of your son. Also he said in 1 Kings 11: 13 However I will not tear away the whole kingdom; I will give one tribe to your son for the sake of My servant David, and for the sake of Jerusalem which I have chosen.

In the above-mentioned verse, he said that he will give only one tribe to your son.

My dear people, even though we are anointed by the Spirit of God if we do not realize this and if our heart gets darkened and if we do not follow what the Lord has commanded and we disobey the covenant and give place in our heart to foreign gods then God will remove the anointing that is in us away from us and here he is giving us this as a pattern. Therefore, my dear people, we must never leave what the Lord has commanded us and let us submit ourselves to follow them.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
