My dearly
beloved in Christ, the wickedness of the people increased greatly in the world.
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. When we read the genealogy of
Noah we see that in order to change us back into the image of God, God sends
one person (Christ) into the world. Through him, he wants us to repent from the
world’s violence, sin, iniquity and transgression and he delivers us from these
and wants us to live in his body under his protection. Whatever tribulations
may arise we will be protected in the Holy Mountain. We can understand that God
is showing these things as a pattern.
Genesis 6: 13.
14 - And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the
earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them
with the earth.
Make yourself
an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark and cover it inside and outside
with pitch.
After God had
spoken to Noah and given him the measurements of the ark, in Genesis 6: 17 - And
behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from
under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on
the earth shall die.
Due to fleshly
deeds, we see that sin and iniquity increased in the world.
That is what
is mentioned in Genesis 6: 1 – 4 - Now it came to pass, when men began to
multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them,
that the sons
of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives
for themselves of all whom they chose.
And the Lord
said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet
his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”
There were
giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God
came into the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the
mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
In this
manner, since iniquity was increasing in the world, God reduced the life
expectancy of man. God showed a pattern that man should be led by The Holy
Spirit and that all our old sin, iniquity and transgression should be destroyed
with the old sinful body, buried and raise up with Christ through The Holy
Spirit and live forever without dying and glorify God. This is the significance
of Noah’s ark.
Noah’s ark
went and rested on Mount Ararat. Ararat signifies the Holy
Mountain. Holy Mountain is our Lord (Lord Jesus Christ). That is why, God comes
as The Holy Spirit within us and convicts us concerning sin, concerning righteousness
and concerning judgement.
My dearly
beloved, Noah, who heard the voice of God completely obeyed Him and immediately
built the Ark according to the measurements given by God.
Genesis 7:1 - Then
the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because
I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.
God told Noah
to take into the ark – Of clean animals, of animals that are unclean, of birds,
and of everything that creeps on the earth two by two – male and female. Noah
did everything that God had commanded him.
Genesis 7: 16
- So those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had
commanded him; and the Lord shut him in.
That is what
is mentioned in Matthew 25: 1 - Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to
ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.
Out of the 10
virgins, 5 were wise and 5 were foolish. The five wise virgins listened to the
word of God, were saved and protected their salvation.
The five
foolish virgins listened to the word of God but lost their salvation.
Matthew 25: 5
– 10 - But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
“And at
midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet
him!’
Then all those
virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.
And the
foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going
out.’
But the wise
answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go
rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’
And while they
went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to
the wedding; and the door was shut.
Ephesians 5:14
– 17 - Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And
Christ will give you light.”
See then that
you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,
redeeming the
time, because the days are evil.
Therefore do
not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Let us pray.
May the Lord God bless you all.
