“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 69: 9
Because zeal for Your house has eaten me up, and the reproaches of those who reproach You have fallen on me.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should be careful not to give place to the foreign woman in our soul, the place where the Lord dwells.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that our soul, the bride, the church should receive the fullness of grace.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Kings 7: 1 – 13 But Solomon took thirteen years to build his own house; so he finished all his house.
He also built the House of the Forest of Lebanon; its length was one hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits, with four rows of cedar pillars, and cedar beams on the pillars.
And it was panelled with cedar above the beams that were on forty-five pillars, fifteen to a row.
There were windows with bevelled frames in three rows, and window was opposite window in three tiers.
And all the doorways and doorposts had rectangular frames; and window was opposite window in three tiers.
He also made the Hall of Pillars: its length was fifty cubits, and its width thirty cubits; and in front of them was a portico with pillars, and a canopy was in front of them.
Then he made a hall for the throne, the Hall of Judgment, where he might judge; and it was panelled with cedar from floor to ceiling.
And the house where he dwelt had another court inside the hall, of like workmanship. Solomon also made a house like this hall for Pharaoh’s daughter, whom he had taken as wife.
All these were of costly stones cut to size, trimmed with saws, inside and out, from the foundation to the eaves, and also on the outside to the great court.
The foundation was of costly stones, large stones, some ten cubits and some eight cubits.
And above were costly stones, hewn to size, and cedar wood.
The great court was enclosed with three rows of hewn stones and a row of cedar beams. So were the inner court of the house of the Lord and the vestibule of the temple.
Now King Solomon sent and brought Huram from Tyre.
In the above-mentioned verses, Solomon took thirteen years to build his own house; so he finished all his house. He also built the House of the Forest of Lebanon; its length was one hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits, with four rows of cedar pillars, and cedar beams on the pillars. My dear people, after King Solomon finished building the temple of God, he is building a palace for him to stay. The stones and wood used there are costly. There is also building a hall of judgement. My dear people, this is being built as a pattern for us. The reason for this is that within us the King of Kings, Christ to dwell in us in our soul for him we must build a palace and that is considered as the house of God. It is here that the Lord dwells and it manifests as the palace where he moves around. But Solomon in his life, he is not following what the Lord commanded. That is, he marries the daughter of Pharaoh, and he built a house for her. In this manner, he does not follow the commandments of the Lord, and not only did he marry a foreign woman but for her he is building a house as well. Also he is calling Huram from Tyre. Therefore, the result that the Lord is giving him we can read later regarding what happens in his life. Therefore, we must not give place for a foreign woman in the house of the Lord but must be dedicated only for him. In this manner, let us submit ourselves only for Him.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
