“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
James 1: 8
He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
Our soul, the bride, the church should not be proud and we must safeguard it carefully.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that our soul, the bride, the church should be as a dwelling place of Christ and a new song should be manifested in us – as a pattern.
Next what we are meditating upon is that
1 Kings 5: 1, 2
Now Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon, because he heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father, for Hiram had always loved David.
Then Solomon sent to Hiram, saying:
According to the above-mentioned verses, Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants to Solomon, because he heard that they had anointed him king in place of his father, for Hiram had always loved David. Then Solomon sent people to Hiram, saying:
1 Kings 5: 3 – 6
You know how my father David could not build a house for the name of the Lord his God because of the wars which were fought against him on every side, until the Lord put his foes under the soles of his feet.
But now the Lord my God has given me rest on every side; there is neither adversary nor evil occurrence.
And behold, I propose to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spoke to my father David, saying, “Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, he shall build the house for My name.”
Now therefore, command that they cut down cedars for me from Lebanon; and my servants will be with your servants, and I will pay you wages for your servants according to whatever you say. For you know there is none among us who has skill to cut timber like the Sidonians.
So it was, when Hiram heard the above-mentioned words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly and said, Blessed be the Lord this day, for He has given David a wise son over this great people! Then Hiram sent to Solomon, saying: I have considered the message which you sent me, and I will do all you desire concerning the cedar and cypress logs. Also, he said in
1 Kings 5: 9, 10
My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon to the sea; I will float them in rafts by sea to the place you indicate to me and will have them broken apart there; then you can take them away. And you shall fulfill my desire by giving food for my household.
Then Hiram gave Solomon cedar and cypress logs according to all his desire.
In the above-mentioned verses, everything that Solomon asked Hiram he is tying as logs and sending them by sea and is handing them to Solomon. And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand kors of wheat as food for his household, and twenty kors of pressed oil. Thus Solomon gave to Hiram year by year. So the Lord gave Solomon wisdom, as He had promised him; and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty together.
My dear people, God is manifesting this as a pattern. That is, if we are anointed by Christ our soul is becoming the throne of David. When we receive this most people’s soul will become proud. This is what is King Tyre. But with such pride only we have a desire to become the temple of the Lord. Because of this desire Tyre is doing all the preparations necessary for this. In this manner, those who have such kind of soul with pride are called by God as the sea, who are the wicked. In this manner, when our soul is deceived by King Tyre the food belonging to us is going to him. Even though God gives us wisdom, we do not put on humbleness but because we are with pride in our soul, we do not make a covenant with Christ, but we made a covenant with Hiram. In this manner, if we do not become humble and will be with pride, we will not be able to draw near to God. And God is also not draw near to us. It is said that such kind of people are double-minded people. Regarding them, in
James 4: 8
Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
According to the above-mentioned verse, let us submit ourselves so that our soul will not become proud but be humble in Christ.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
