“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Isaiah 1: 19
If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land;
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should be careful that our soul does not backslide.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated with patterns that in our soul, the bride, the church we should not give place to the spirit of harlotry.
Next what we are meditating upon is that
1 Kings 4: 1, 2
So King Solomon was king over all Israel.
And these were his officials: Azariah the son of Zadok, the priest;
In the above-mentioned words of God Solomon was king over all Israel. Also, the officials that he had:
1 Kings 4: 3 – 19
Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder;
Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, over the army; Zadok and Abiathar, the priests;
Azariah the son of Nathan, over the officers; Zabud the son of Nathan, a priest and the king’s friend;
Ahishar, over the household; and Adoniram the son of Abda, over the labor force.
And Solomon had twelve governors over all Israel, who provided food for the king and his household; each one made provision for one month of the year.
These are their names: Ben-Hur, in the mountains of Ephraim;
Ben-Deker, in Makaz, Shaalbim, Beth Shemesh, and Elon Beth Hanan;
Ben-Hesed, in Arubboth; to him belonged Sochoh and all the land of Hepher;
Ben-Abinadab, in all the regions of Dor; he had Taphath the daughter of Solomon as wife;
Baana the son of Ahilud, in Taanach, Megiddo, and all Beth Shean, which is beside Zaretan below Jezreel, from Beth Shean to Abel Meholah, as far as the other side of Jokneam;
Ben-Geber, in Ramoth Gilead; to him belonged the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, in Gilead; to him also belonged the region of Argob in Bashan—sixty large cities with walls and bronze gate-bars;
Ahinadab the son of Iddo, in Mahanaim;
Ahimaaz, in Naphtali; he also took Basemath the daughter of Solomon as wife;
Baanah the son of Hushai, in Asher and Aloth;
Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar;
Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin;
Geber the son of Uri, in the land of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan. He was the only governor who was in the land.
All the Israel and Judah that are mentioned in the above words of God were as numerous as the sand by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking and rejoicing. So Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. They brought tribute and served Solomon all the days of his life.
What this means is that the rejoicing of the salvation of our soul means in our inner man our soul when it prepares itself for Christ then Christ is rejoicing within us. For us to serve Christ what God has showed us as a pattern is that because Solomon asked the Lord for wisdom to judge the people the Lord is also giving him the wisdom. That is, wisdom who is Christ is coming to judge us and this is the pattern of that. Those who have attained salvation in this manner their soul when it backslides it shows how Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. That is, those who are saved and hated self, due to the deeds of the Philistines go into the enjoyments and decorations of the world and then as their soul desires they do the lusts of the flesh and live a life according to their mind and fall into sin and become Egypt. When God rules over them then they will again give themselves as an offering to the Lord and in this manner they will serve the Lord is the pattern of Solomon.
Therefore, my dear people, if any one of us have backslid and are in Egypt, doing all the old things and have forgotten the covenant and if we are doing what our flesh and mind desires, then let us realize the backsliding within us and the loving brothers and sisters reading this let us offer ourselves now itself as an offering and let us submit ourselves to serve him.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
