“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 36: 8

They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, and You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should be as those who have a thirst for souls.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should not give place for the sons of Belial in our soul.

Next what we are meditating upon is that

2 Samuel 23: 8 - 15

These are the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-Basshebeth the Tachmonite, chief among the captains. He was called Adino the Eznite, because he had killed eight hundred men at one time.

And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David when they defied the Philistines who were gathered there for battle, and the men of Israel had retreated.

He arose and attacked the Philistines until his hand was weary, and his hand stuck to the sword. The Lord brought about a great victory that day; and the people returned after him only to plunder.

And after him was Shammah the son of Agee the Hararite. The Philistines had gathered together into a troop where there was a piece of ground full of lentils. So the people fled from the Philistines.

But he stationed himself in the middle of the field, defended it, and killed the Philistines. So the Lord brought about a great victory.

Then three of the thirty chief men went down at harvest time and came to David at the cave of Adullam. And the troop of Philistines encamped in the Valley of Rephaim.

David was then in the stronghold, and the garrison of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.

And David said with longing, “Oh, that someone would give me a drink of the water from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”

In the above-mentioned verses, after the deeds of Belial are destroyed in our soul then our soul will become mighty. To become mighty and to attain double strength upon strength we must be as those who search the Lord carefully. Showing this as a pattern the names of the mighty men whom David had: Josheb-Basshebeth the Tachmonite, chief among the captains. He was called Adino the Eznite, because he had killed eight hundred men at one time. And after him was Eleazar the son of Dodo, the Ahohite, one of the three mighty men with David when they defied the Philistines who were gathered there for battle, and the men of Israel had retreated.

My dear people, only if our soul remains holy and receives the strength of the Lord then the deeds of the God of trinity will be revealed in us and God will destroy the evil deeds that always come in us, and bring the decorations of the world in us and make us lust the world which are the wicked spirits of the Philistines and he will command a great salvation to us. Also, what we must know is that the reason why the Spirits of the Philistines always follow us is to prevent us from gaining souls for God. Therefore for us to gain souls, he is showing David as a pattern of Christ and David is by the well near the gate in Bethlehem and with longing and says Oh, that someone would give me a drink of the water for my thirst. Therefore, we must all gain souls for Christ and for this we must be as those who attain strength upon strength. Let us submit ourselves in this manner.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
