“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 92: 14

They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing,

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

God is the God who provides greatly for us, the bride, the church even during our old age.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should leave the desires and enjoyments of the world and receive eternal life.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Samuel 19: 38 – 41 And the king answered, “Chimham shall cross over with me, and I will do for him what seems good to you. Now whatever you request of me, I will do for you.”

Then all the people went over the Jordan. And when the king had crossed over, the king kissed Barzillai and blessed him, and he returned to his own place.

Now the king went on to Gilgal, and Chimham went on with him. And all the people of Judah escorted the king, and also half the people of Israel.

Just then all the men of Israel came to the king, and said to the king, “Why have our brethren, the men of Judah, stolen you away and brought the king, his household, and all David’s men with him across the Jordan?”

According to the above-mentioned verses, when King David told Barzillai who was a very aged man that I will provide for you then Barzillai said that your servant Chimham; let him cross over with my lord the king and do for him what seems good to you. And the king answered, “Chimham shall cross over with me, and I will do for him what seems good to you. Now whatever you request of me, I will do for you.” Then all the people went over the Jordan.

Then the men of Judah in 2 Samuel 19: 42 So all the men of Judah answered the men of Israel, “Because the king is a close relative of ours. Why then are you angry over this matter? Have we ever eaten at the king’s expense? Or has he given us any gift?”

By the above-mentioned words we see that the men of Judah are telling King David the way how they walked to the men of Israel. But the men of Israel in 2 Samuel 19: 43 And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, “We have ten shares in the king; therefore we also have more right to David than you. Why then do you despise us—were we not the first to advise bringing back our king?” Yet the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.

What is said in the above-mentioned verses is that the men of Israel told the men of Judah that they have ten shares more. But among both of them the words of the men of Judah were fiercer.

My dear people, because Barzillai was a very aged man David is telling that I will provide for them and this means as a pattern that those who are with God even when they reach old age, God will provide for them and regarding this in Isaiah 46: 3, 4 “Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, who have been upheld by Me from birth, who have been carried from the womb:

Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.

When we meditate upon the facts regarding the verses mentioned above the Lord will uphold us, carry us and deliver us and this is sure. Also, God is the one who gives them whatever they ask. Also, their intention was that King David should be the king of the men of Israel and the men of Judah. But the words of the men of Judah were fiercer. The fact regarding this is that in the soul of Israelites for the deeds of the Judean, Christ to be revealed each one of our hearts should undergo circumcision by the Spirit of Christ and for this God is showing this as a pattern. Therefore, my loving people in Christ who are reading this each one of our soul should be submitted for Christ to be revealed.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
