“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Romans 14: 5, 6
One person esteems one day above another; another esteems every day alike. Let each be fully convinced in his own mind.
He who observes the day, observes it to the Lord; and he who does not observe the day, to the Lord, he does not observe it. He who eats, eats to the Lord, for he gives God thanks; and he who does not eat, to the Lord he does not eat, and gives God thanks.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church everyone with one heart should worship God in spirit and in truth.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that God is making all our hearts, the bride, the church as one man’s heart by showing David as a pattern and we meditated the explanation.
Next what we are meditating upon is that
2 Samuel 19: 14 – 18
So he swayed the hearts of all the men of Judah, just as the heart of one man, so that they sent this word to the king: “Return, you and all your servants!”
Then the king returned and came to the Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal, to go to meet the king, to escort the king across the Jordan.
And Shimei the son of Gera, a Benjamite, who was from Bahurim, hurried and came down with the men of Judah to meet King David.
There were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, and Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they went over the Jordan before the king.
Then a ferryboat went across to carry over the king’s household, and to do what he thought good. Now Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king when he had crossed the Jordan.
In the above-mentioned verses, we see that the elders of Israel and the people of Israel asked David to come and be their king.
Now Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king when he had crossed the Jordan
2 Samuel 19: 19, 20
Then he said to the king, “Do not let my lord impute iniquity to me or remember what wrong your servant did on the day that my lord the king left Jerusalem, that the king should take it to heart.
For I, your servant, know that I have sinned. Therefore here I am, the first to come today of all the house of Joseph to go down to meet my lord the king.”
By the above-mentioned words, Shimei realized the sin that he had done and when he was asking David for forgiveness: when Abishai the son of Zeruiah reminded the King the iniquity that Shimei had done, David told Abishai in
2 Samuel 19: 22, 23
And David said, “What have I to do with you, you sons of Zeruiah, that you should be adversaries to me today? Shall any man be put to death today in Israel? For do I not know that today I am king over Israel?”
Therefore the king said to Shimei, “You shall not die.” And the king swore to him.
The above-mentioned verses are that Shimei is only thinking about the iniquity that he did against King David and asking for forgiveness and so David is forgiving him and this is explained and shown as a pattern that against the Lord how much ever sin we do against him if we realize and with pain in our mind if we ask for forgiveness because He is merciful he forgives our sins and he unites us and that is sure.
Also, my dear people as a pattern that we must accept our Lord Jesus Christ in our soul, the children of Israel go to King David and to make the king cross over Jordan they came till Gilgal means that for us to be in fellowship with him we must ask forgiveness for all the sin and iniquity that we have done till that day and we washed according to the word of God and when we receive the baptism by water then we will die with him to sin and we will live unto righteousness with him. That day when it manifests in our soul the place is Gilgal. Gilgal means the place where the reproach of Egypt is rolled over. That is, after all the Israelites did circumcision then the Lord is saying that he rolled over the reproach of Egypt. As a sign of this our Lord Jesus Christ got down in Jordan and received baptism by John and is raising up and this is an example that God has given us. In this manner, we must receive baptism and be resurrected in our soul and when we worship God this is the circumcision of the heart that we undergo by our Lord Jesus Christ. Then only everyone can have one heart. Then we all with one heart can worship God. Let us submit ourselves to the Lord for such kind of grace.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
