“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Ezekiel 37: 24, 25
“David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes and do them.
Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children’s children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
God is making all our hearts, the bride, the church as one man’s heart.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should lose our life and we should receive eternal life.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Samuel 19: 11 – 14 So King David sent to Zadok and Abiathar the priests, saying, “Speak to the elders of Judah, saying, ‘Why are you the last to bring the king back to his house, since the words of all Israel have come to the king, to his very house?
You are my brethren; you are my bone and my flesh. Why then are you the last to bring back the king?’
And say to Amasa, ‘Are you not my bone and my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you are not commander of the army before me continually in place of Joab.’”
So he swayed the hearts of all the men of Judah, just as the heart of one man, so that they sent this word to the king: “Return, you and all your servants!”
In the above-mentioned verses, the people were speaking about bringing back the king. When the king heard this in the house that he was in, then King David sent to Zadok and Abiathar the priests, saying, “Speak to the elders of Judah, saying, ‘Why are you the last to bring the king back to his house, since the words of all Israel have come to the king, to his very house? You are my brethren; you are my bone and my flesh. Why then are you the last to bring back the king?’ And say to Amasa, ‘Are you not my bone and my flesh? God do so to me, and more also, if you are not commander of the army before me continually in place of Joab.’” So he swayed the hearts of all the men of Judah, just as the heart of one man, so that they sent this word to the king: “Return, you and all your servants!”
My dear people, the fact regarding the above-mentioned verses is that after the death of Absalom to make David as king of Israel the people changed his mind, and he is able to know this. What shows this as a pattern is that in our life if the tradition is destroyed, the throne of David, who is our Lord Jesus Christ can be established in us. We must put away our traditional life and when we accept our Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour then he will come with us and he will always be with us and he makes all our hearts like his heart and makes it to be united as one and Christ will be as our bridegroom and all of us as his bride, the church and he will gather us with him and he is making all of us as a friend with him and he is explaining that we will be his bone and his flesh. Also, he is showing King David as a pattern to Christ and by these words we are united with him and for us, the Israelites he is our king and in our life he is the king of kings and we must praise him and glorify him and let us submit ourselves to bow at his feet.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
