“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Isaiah 26: 2

Open the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should always obey the true words of God.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should destroy the evil teaching that is in our soul which is against the throne of Christ by the Spirit of God. The pattern for that is because Absalom, the son of David desired to become king he made the Israelites to come to his side and because he works against David he is being destroyed.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Samuel 18: 22 - 28 And Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said again to Joab, “But whatever happens, please let me also run after the Cushite.” So Joab said, “Why will you run, my son, since you have no news ready?”

“But whatever happens,” he said, “let me run.” So he said to him, “Run.” Then Ahimaaz ran by way of the plain and outran the Cushite.

Now David was sitting between the two gates. And the watchman went up to the roof over the gate, to the wall, lifted his eyes and looked, and there was a man, running alone.

Then the watchman cried out and told the king. And the king said, “If he is alone, there is news in his mouth.” And he came rapidly and drew near.

Then the watchman saw another man running, and the watchman called to the gatekeeper and said, “There is another man, running alone!” And the king said, “He also brings news.”

So the watchman said, “I think the running of the first is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok.” And the king said, “He is a good man, and comes with good news.”

So Ahimaaz called out and said to the king, “All is well!” Then he bowed down with his face to the earth before the king, and said, “Blessed be the Lord your God, who has delivered up the men who raised their hand against my lord the king!”

In the above-mentioned verses, to let King David know the news that Absalom has been killed when Ahimaaz asked Joab he told him not to go and he is sending a Cushite. And Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said again to Joab, “But whatever happens, please let me also run after the Cushite.” So Joab said, “Why will you run, my son, since you have no news ready?” “But whatever happens,” he said, “let me run.” So he said to him, “Run.” Then Ahimaaz ran by way of the plain and outran the Cushite. Then the watchman saw another man running, and the watchman called to the gatekeeper and said, “There is another man, running alone!” And the king said, “He also brings news.” So the watchman said, “I think the running of the first is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok.” And the king said, “He is a good man, and comes with good news.” So Ahimaaz called out and said to the king, “All is well!” Then he bowed down with his face to the earth before the king, and said, “Blessed be the Lord your God, who has delivered up the men who raised their hand against my lord the king!”

Then the king in 2 Samuel 18: 29 The king said, “Is the young man Absalom safe?” Ahimaaz answered, “When Joab sent the king’s servant and me your servant, I saw a great tumult, but I did not know what it was about.”

When Ahimaaz was telling the above-mentioned words, the king said, “Turn aside and stand here.” So he turned aside and stood still. Then the Cushite came and in 2 Samuel 18: 31 Just then the Cushite came, and the Cushite said, “There is good news, my lord the king! For the Lord has avenged you this day of all those who rose against you.”

When the Cushite said the above-mentioned words the king in 2 Samuel 18: 32, 33 And the king said to the Cushite, “Is the young man Absalom safe?” So the Cushite answered, “May the enemies of my lord the king, and all who rise against you to do harm, be like that young man!”

Then the king was deeply moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept. And as he went, he said thus: “O my son Absalom—my son, my son Absalom—if only I had died in your place! O Absalom my son, my son!”

When the king heard the above-mentioned words, knew that his son Absalom died and was deeply moved and went up to the chamber over the gate and wept.

My dear people, whatever evil may come against us we will not think to remove some things away from us. God is showing this as a pattern, and we see that David is suffering a lot because of his son. But in his mind, there is a thought that he is his son engraved in his soul. In the same way, in our lives we will not think to change some things which have come by the flesh. The explanation regarding this is that because the evil teachings that are within us, that which we hear, and do they do not leave us and because of this God leaves us and goes away we experience many troubles. But still we will not leave the evil teachings. Then God fights within us and removes them away. Let us submit ourselves to destroy the evil deeds that are against the throne of Christ and to obey the true words of God.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
