“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 147: 19
He declares His word to Jacob, his statutes and His judgments to Israel.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should never lead the people in the wrong path and do evil to the Lord and we must safeguard ourselves.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should be in holiness very carefully and participate in the holy feast.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Samuel 15: 1 – 6 After this it happened that Absalom provided himself with chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.
Now Absalom would rise early and stand beside the way to the gate. So it was, whenever anyone who had a lawsuit came to the king for a decision, that Absalom would call to him and say, “What city are you from?” And he would say, “Your servant is from such and such a tribe of Israel.”
Then Absalom would say to him, “Look, your case is good and right; but there is no deputy of the king to hear you.”
Moreover Absalom would say, “Oh, that I were made judge in the land, and everyone who has any suit or cause would come to me; then I would give him justice.”
And so it was, whenever anyone came near to bow down to him, that he would put out his hand and take him and kiss him.
In this manner Absalom acted toward all Israel who came to the king for judgment. So Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
In the above-mentioned verses, Absalom is being united with his father, King David and his father is kissing him. After this it happened that Absalom provided himself with chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him. Now Absalom would rise early and stand beside the way to the gate. So it was, whenever anyone who had a lawsuit came to the king for a decision, that Absalom would call to him and say, “What city are you from?” And he would say, “Your servant is from such and such a tribe of Israel.” Then Absalom would say to him, “Look, your case is good and right; but there is no deputy of the king to hear you.” Moreover Absalom would say, “Oh, that I were made judge in the land, and everyone who has any suit or cause would come to me; then I would give him justice.” And so it was, whenever anyone came near to bow down to him, that he would put out his hand and take him and kiss him. In this manner Absalom acted toward all Israel who came to the king for judgment. So Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
My dear people, even though Absalom did evil against King David because the King had love for his sons, he is accepting Absalom. But what Absalom had was evil deeds. Due to those evil deeds, he did not think that his father had accepted him but again he is doing evil against him, and we can read this. In this manner only many among us even though God has forgiven our mistakes many times and has accepted us, we like Absalom do evil against God and walk in this way. The reason for this is that the soul is filled with the deeds of the harlot we kill the other souls, and we work against our King Christ and because we get the people to our side, without knowing what the truth as those whose eyes are closed they are naked in their lives. Therefore, in our soul we must not give place to the Spirit of harlotry, and we must be filled completely with the Spirit of the Lord. In this manner, like Absalom we must not gather the people towards us and destroy them, but we must preach the Lord’s truthful words and let us submit ourselves so that everyone will be filled by the grace of God.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
