“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Ephesians 4: 22 - 24

that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,

and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Within our soul, the bride, the church we should receive the image of Christ for new life.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should safeguard ourselves so that we do not do sin.

Next what we are meditating upon is that

2 Samuel 12: 15 – 20

Then Nathan departed to his house. And the Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife bore to David, and it became ill.

David therefore pleaded with God for the child, and David fasted and went in and lay all night on the ground.

So the elders of his house arose and went to him, to raise him up from the ground. But he would not, nor did he eat food with them.

Then on the seventh day it came to pass that the child died. And the servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead. For they said, “Indeed, while the child was alive, we spoke to him, and he would not heed our voice. How can we tell him that the child is dead? He may do some harm!”

When David saw that his servants were whispering, David perceived that the child was dead. Therefore David said to his servants, “Is the child dead?” And they said, “He is dead.”

So David arose from the ground, washed and anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he went into the house of the Lord and worshiped. Then he went to his own house; and when he requested, they set food before him, and he ate.

When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, God tells Nathan the prophet the evil things that David did, and Nathan told those things to David and departed to his house. He may do some harm!” When David saw that his servants were whispering, David perceived that the child was dead. Therefore David said to his servants, “Is the child dead?” And they said, “He is dead.” So David arose from the ground, washed and anointed himself, and changed his clothes; and he went into the house of the Lord and worshiped. Then he went to his own house; and when he requested, they set food before him, and he ate.

Then his servants

2 Samuel 12: 21

Then his servants said to him, “What is this that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive, but when the child died, you arose and ate food.”

When the servants said the above-mentioned words, David

2 Samuel 12: 22, 23

And he said, “While the child was alive, I fasted and wept; for I said, ‘Who can tell whether the Lord will be gracious to me, that the child may live?’

But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.”

After David said the above-mentioned words to his servants, David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went into her and lay with her. So she bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. Now the Lord loved him, and He sent word by the hand of Nathan the prophet: So he called his name Jedidiah, because of the Lord. Now Joab fought against Rabbah of the people of Ammon and took the royal city. And Joab sent messengers to David, and said, “I have fought against Rabbah, and I have taken the city’s water supply. Now therefore, gather the rest of the people together and encamp against the city and take it, lest I take the city and it be called after my name.” So David gathered all the people together and went to Rabbah, fought against it, and took it. Then he took their king’s crown from his head. Its weight was a talent of gold, with precious stones. And it was set on David’s head. Also he brought out the spoil of the city in great abundance. And he brought out the people who were in it, and put them to work with saws and iron picks and iron axes, and made them cross over to the brick works. So he did to all the cities of the people of Ammon. Then David and all the people returned to Jerusalem.

My dear people, when we think regarding the above words of God we can see how a soul, the bride, the church which has been chosen by the Lord falls in the pleasures of the world. We can realize how this is evil in the sight of the Lord. Why God is showing us this as a pattern is that we, the bride, the church should not give place for the wife of a foreign man, the church (harlot) to enter our house. If we will give place in this manner, our own lusts will be formed and by those lusts our mind will be pulled, stuck and we are being tested. Then when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. In this manner only David got stuck and fell in sin and due to that sin the child that was born unto David by the wife of Uriah became sick and died. In this manner, we also when we get stuck in any lust it gets conceived and gives birth to sin and due to sin there will not be health in our soul. Then it brings forth death. Such death in our life if it happens within our soul if we want to receive deliverance from it we must fast and confess our sins again and wash ourselves with the blood of Jesus and be cleansed and receive a new anointing and due to what reason we fell we must receive victory in those and our soul should receive a new image of God and when it becomes satisfied with the plunder upon it then God will make his glory to be manifested upon us and the Lord with a crown of gold in his head as one with authority over the Gentiles he overcomes the Gentiles and becomes victorious himself and he manifests as the New Jerusalem. In this manner, let us submit ourselves so that our soul does not fall in any lusts and we must live carefully in the Lord.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
