“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
1 Thessalonians 3: 7
Therefore, brethren, in all our affliction and distress we were comforted concerning you by your faith.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should be as those worship the Lord every day. We must not fall in any enjoyments of the world and carefully we must keep ourselves holy.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that our soul, the bride, the church should not give place completely to the deeds of the Gentiles but it should be filled only with the Spirit of Christ.
Next what we are meditating upon is that,
2 Samuel 11: 1 – 10
It happened in the spring of the year, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the people of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem.
Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold.
So David sent and inquired about the woman. And someone said, “Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?”
Then David sent messengers, and took her; and she came to him, and he lay with her, for she was cleansed from her impurity; and she returned to her house.
And the woman conceived; so she sent and told David, and said, “I am with child.”
Then David sent to Joab, saying, “Send me Uriah the Hittite.” And Joab sent Uriah to David.
When Uriah had come to him, David asked how Joab was doing, and how the people were doing, and how the war prospered.
And David said to Uriah, “Go down to your house and wash your feet.” So Uriah departed from the king’s house, and a gift of food from the king followed him.
But Uriah slept at the door of the king’s house with all the servants of his lord and did not go down to his house.
So when they told David, saying, “Uriah did not go down to his house,” David said to Uriah, “Did you not come from a journey? Why did you not go down to your house?”
In the above-mentioned verses, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the people of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem. Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold. So David sent and inquired about the woman. And someone said, “Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?” Then David sent messengers, and took her; and she came to him, and he lay with her, for she was cleansed from her impurity; and she returned to her house. And the woman conceived; so she sent and told David, and said, “I am with child.” Then David sent to Joab, saying, “Send me Uriah the Hittite.” And Joab sent Uriah to David.
So Uriah in,
2 Samuel 11: 11
And Uriah said to David, “The ark and Israel and Judah are dwelling in tents, and my lord Joab and the servants of my lord are encamped in the open fields. Shall I then go to my house to eat and drink, and to lie with my wife? As you live, and as your soul lives, I will not do this thing.”
After he said the above-mentioned words, David said to Uriah, “Wait here today also, and tomorrow I will let you depart.” So Uriah remained in Jerusalem that day and the next.
My dear people, when we meditate upon these words when David ruled over Israel and Judah God was with him in all the things and is saving him and we can read this. Also, those who are rising against him are serving him and building garrisons for him. In this manner, God is building his house and while he was blessing him he sends the Israelites, Joab and his servants to fight against Ammon and he is walking in the roof of his house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing. But immediately we read that he has the lust of the flesh upon her. Also, he does the shameful evil deed. In this manner, he spoils his holy life. When we see this, God is testing the holiness of David and we can know this. In this manner, many servants of God when they see heights in their life they will fall in many kinds of lusts. Because such kind of life is happening in men, God itself is taking that throne. Also, no man can come close to the throne of God and this is manifested as sure.
Therefore in
Matthew 4: 1 – 11
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry.
Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”
Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple,
and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’”
Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’”
Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”
Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”
Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
In the above-mentioned verses, Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. When we see here, we see that he is standing in the pinnacle of the temple of God. Also, Satan is making him stand in each place three times and is trying to push him down. But for any reason Jesus did not fall down in any pleasures of the worldly enjoyments.
Therefore, my dear people we must be careful not to fall down in any enjoyments of the world and we must safeguard ourselves and must worship only the Lord. If we do not participate in the worship like David, we will fall down in sin. When we worship the Lord, we fight against the foreign Gentiles and the evil deeds of our soul are removed and we are worshipping only the Lord and this God is showing us as a pattern that Israel, the church is fighting against the foreign Gentiles. Because David is not going for the war he is spoiling himself. Therefore my loving people who are reading this each of us must not fall down in hell in the morning and evening in the church of God we must worship the Lord then the Lord will make us holy and bless us. Let us submit ourselves in this manner.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
