“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

John 6: 35

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should be as those who eat bread, the word of Christ every day.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should walk in his path to make an eternal glory to the Lord.

Next what we are meditating upon is that

2 Samuel 9: 1 - 13

Now David said, “Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”

And there was a servant of the house of Saul whose name was Ziba. So when they had called him to David, the king said to him, “Are you Ziba?” He said, “At your service!”

Then the king said, “Is there not still someone of the house of Saul, to whom I may show the kindness of God?” And Ziba said to the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan who is lame in his feet.”

So the king said to him, “Where is he?” And Ziba said to the king, “Indeed he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo Debar.”

Then King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo Debar.

Now when Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, had come to David, he fell on his face and prostrated himself. Then David said, “Mephibosheth?” And he answered, “Here is your servant!”

So David said to him, “Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually.”

Then he bowed himself, and said, “What is your servant, that you should look upon such a dead dog as I?”

And the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said to him, “I have given to your master’s son all that belonged to Saul and to all his house.

You therefore, and your sons and your servants, shall work the land for him, and you shall bring in the harvest, that your master’s son may have food to eat. But Mephibosheth your master’s son shall eat bread at my table always.” Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

Then Ziba said to the king, “According to all that my lord the king has commanded his servant, so will your servant do.” “As for Mephibosheth,” said the king, “he shall eat at my table like one of the king’s sons.”

Mephibosheth had a young son whose name was Micha. And all who dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants of Mephibosheth.

So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table. And he was lame in both his feet.

In the above-mentioned words, David said, “Is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?” And there was a servant of the house of Saul whose name was Ziba. So when they had called him to David, the king said to him, “Are you Ziba?” He said, “At your service!” Then the king said, “Is there not still someone of the house of Saul, to whom I may show the kindness of God?” And Ziba said to the king, “There is still a son of Jonathan who is lame in his feet.” So the king said to him, “Where is he?” And Ziba said to the king, “Indeed he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo Debar.” Then King David sent and brought him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo Debar. And all who dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants of Mephibosheth. So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem, for he ate continually at the king’s table. And he was lame in both his feet.

My dear people, when we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses David is asking as a pattern of our Lord Christ is there anyone that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake? For each one of us the one who shows us kindness is our Lord Jesus Christ. That is, even though we work for the Lord and even though we may be doing ministry for him, the Lord will never forget that even though our worldly life ends God shows kindness to those who are in our house. On top of that kindness the Lord shows great mercy. Not only that but all the land and harvest, things that was plundered from that house he gives that back to that that generation. Not only that for those generations to be blessed every day he satisfies them with the heavenly bread, which is the word of Christ. Also, the word of the Lord says that the descendants of the righteous do not go begging for bread.

Regarding this, in

Psalms 37: 23 – 27

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.

I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.

He is ever merciful and lends; and his descendants are blessed.

Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell forevermore.

According to the above-mentioned verses, if each one of us will be God’s pleasing servants our generations will be blessed and those who eat the bread of the Lord every day will dwell in Jerusalem and each one of us must understand this. Therefore, for us also to be as New Jerusalem and be blessed let us submit ourselves to do ministry for the Lord truthfully.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
