“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Isaiah 63: 14
As a beast goes down into the valley, and the Spirit of the Lord causes him to rest, so You lead Your people, to make Yourself a glorious name.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should walk in his path to make an eternal glory to the Lord.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church will always be safeguarded by the Lord.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 2 Samuel 8: 9, 10 When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had defeated all the army of Hadadezer,
then Toi sent Joram his son to King David, to greet him and bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and defeated him (for Hadadezer had been at war with Toi); and Joram brought with him articles of silver, articles of gold, and articles of bronze.
In the above-mentioned verses, when Toi king of Hamath heard that David had defeated all the army of Hadadezer, then Toi sent Joram his son to King David, to greet him and bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and defeated him (for Hadadezer had been at war with Toi); and Joram brought with him articles of silver, articles of gold, and articles of bronze.
Also David in 2 Samuel 8: 11, 12 King David also dedicated these to the Lord, along with the silver and gold that he had dedicated from all the nations which he had subdued—
from Syria, from Moab, from the people of Ammon, from the Philistines, from Amalek, and from the spoil of Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah.
What the above-mentioned is that David dedicated what Joram had brought to the Lord, along with the silver and gold that he had dedicated from all the nations which he had subdued— And David made himself a name when he returned from killing eighteen thousand Syrians in the Valley of Salt. He also put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom he put garrisons, and all the Edomites became David’s servants. And the Lord preserved David wherever he went. So David reigned over all Israel; and David administered judgment and justice to all his people.
Also in 2 Samuel 8: 16 – 18 Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder;
Zadok the son of Ahitub and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar were the priests; Seraiah was the scribe;
Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over both the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David’s sons were chief ministers.
Those mentioned above were those over the army, recorders, priests, scribes, heads and chief ministers for David.
When we meditate upon the above-mentioned words of God, our Lord Jesus Christ in the throne of David above all the kings of the countries as the highest in the utmost highest and as one who has overcome all the kings he is manifested in our soul and also Philistines, Zobah, Hamath, Edomites and Syrians will come before the Lord and worship him, and God is showing us this as a pattern. That is, each one of our souls if they are scattered by the thoughts of each of these Gentiles, we will not worship God with our whole soul and our mind will go to other thoughts and as those stuck to the world we will go far away from God. Also, we will lose the grace that we have received from God. Therefore, our Lord Christ to be glorified in us as an eternal glory let us submit ourselves for the Lord to remove the deeds of all the Gentiles from us.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
