“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Matthew 5: 11, 12
Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should worship the Lord with a loud voice filled with the Holy Spirit and possess the blessings from Him.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should take in the words of the Lord and in our soul with loud shouting we must worship the Lord.
Next what we are meditating upon is that
2 Samuel 6: 6 – 12
And when they came to Nachon’s threshing floor, Uzzah put out his hand to the ark of God and took hold of it, for the oxen stumbled.
Then the anger of the Lord was aroused against Uzzah, and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by the ark of God.
And David became angry because of the Lord’s outbreak against Uzzah; and he called the name of the place Perez Uzzah to this day.
David was afraid of the Lord that day; and he said, “How can the ark of the Lord come to me?”
So David would not move the ark of the Lord with him into the City of David; but David took it aside into the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite.
The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months. And the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household.
Now it was told King David, saying, “The Lord has blessed the house of Obed-Edom and all that belongs to him, because of the ark of God.” So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with gladness.
In the above-mentioned verses, when the ark of God enters the city of David with loud shouting of worship, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and whirling before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart. So they brought the ark of the Lord and set it in its place in the midst of the tabernacle that David had erected for it. Then David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord. Then in,
2 Samuel 6: 18, 19
And when David had finished offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts.
Then he distributed among all the people, among the whole multitude of Israel, both the women and the men, to everyone a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a cake of raisins. So all the people departed, everyone to his house.
In the above-mentioned verses, David blessed the people and distributed among all the people, both the women and the men, to everyone a loaf of bread, a piece of meat, and a cake of raisins and when he departed to bless his household, Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, “How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself today in the eyes of the maids of his servants, as one of the base fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!” So David said to Michal, “It was before the Lord, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the Lord. And I will be even more undignified than this and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honour.” Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.
My dear people, the facts regarding what is mentioned above is that how each one of us must glorify the Lord is that when we come to the presence of the Lord, we must worship the Lord with gladness. Also, being filled with the Spirit of the Lord we must worship the Lord. Also, not before man, but our thoughts in our soul should be that we are worshipping before God. This is because when we worship, those like Michal will despise us and insult us.
My dear people, if we are despised, we will be blessed. This is because the one who is despised is not us but the Glorious one who is in us. He is being despised due to them and he is being glorified by us. But many among us become ashamed to worship with loud voice and shouting and they think this way and control themselves. Such kind of people in any day will not receive deliverance in the Spirit and cannot live with God. If we think that worshipping the Lord is shameful, then he will also see us and be ashamed. Therefore, we must worship God with our whole mind, whole strength, whole soul and receive his bread which is his truth, meat which is the body of Christ and wine which is his grace and we must not receive punishment from God like Michal and carefully we must do the will of God and let us submit ourselves to possess his blessings.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
