“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Psalms 87: 2
The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should be as Zion and be as those whose eyes are opened and as those who obey the words of the Lord.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should live as a witness to the truth of Christ.
Next what we are meditating upon is that
2 Samuel 5: 1 - 10
Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and spoke, saying, “Indeed we are your bone and your flesh.
Also, in time past, when Saul was king over us, you were the one who led Israel out and brought them in; and the Lord said to you, ‘You shall shepherd My people Israel, and be ruler over Israel.’”
Therefore all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the Lord. And they anointed David king over Israel.
David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years.
In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah.
And the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who spoke to David, saying, “You shall not come in here; but the blind and the lame will repel you,” thinking, “David cannot come in here.”
Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion (that is, the City of David).
Now David said on that day, “Whoever climbs up by way of the water shaft and defeats the Jebusites (the lame and the blind, who are hated by David’s soul), he shall be chief and captain.” Therefore they say, “The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.”
Then David dwelt in the stronghold and called it the City of David. And David built all around from the Millo and inward.
So David went on and became great, and the Lord God of hosts was with him.
According to the above-mentioned verses, after the death of Ishbosheth, the son of Saul and the death of Abner, the servant of Saul all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and spoke, saying, “Indeed we are your bone and your flesh. Also, in time past, when Saul was king over us, you were the one who led Israel out and brought them in; and the Lord said to you, ‘You shall shepherd My people Israel, and be ruler over Israel.’” Therefore all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the Lord. And they anointed David king over Israel. David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years. In Hebron he reigned over Judah seven years and six months, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty-three years over all Israel and Judah. And the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, who spoke to David, saying, “You shall not come in here; but the blind and the lame will repel you,” thinking, “David cannot come in here.” Nevertheless David took the stronghold of Zion (that is, the City of David). Now David said on that day, “Whoever climbs up by way of the water shaft and defeats the Jebusites (the lame and the blind, who are hated by David’s soul), he shall be chief and captain.” Therefore they say, “The blind and the lame shall not come into the house.” Then David dwelt in the stronghold and called it the City of David. And David built all around from the Millo and inward. So David went on and became great, and the Lord God of hosts was with him.
My dear people, when we meditate upon the above-mentioned words in our soul due to the spirit of Saul all the wickedness should be changed and the throne of David, the body of Christ, the church is being formed. The anointing which comes in this manner is the anointing which the Lord gives us. God is showing us as a pattern that this place is Hebron. Within this body, the church no Jebusites should be there and so the Lord fights. That is, Jebusites means those whose eyes are not open and lame, they do not obey the words of the Lord and their eyes will be blind. The person who overcomes these things is our Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 15: 29 – 31
Jesus departed from there, skirted the Sea of Galilee, and went up on the mountain and sat down there.
Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.
So the multitude marvelled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.
The above-mentioned words in our soul, is the deliverance that each one of us who have the Spirit of Christ receives. When we receive in this manner, the name of the Lord is being glorified. Then our head is Christ. He is the head of everything. As the first born, he resurrects within us. Also in our soul, Christ stamps the other Gentiles under his feet and as one who overcomes the hell and death and if he rises up we become Zion. Our inner man is the city of Zion. Showing this as a pattern, David took the stronghold of Zion. And that became the City of David and after that those who are blind and lame (those who do not obey the words of God) are not there and that is being mentioned. In this manner, if we receive the resurrection of Christ in our soul we can increase the harvest of righteousness and everyday we can attain the spiritual growth. In this manner, let us submit ourselves to be truthful everyday in the spiritual things.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
