“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”
Jeremiah 30: 19, 20
Then out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry; I will multiply them, and they shall not diminish; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.
Their children also shall be as before, and their congregation shall be established before Me; And I will punish all who oppress them.
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen
We, the bride, the church should be steadfast in the Lord.
My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should as those who live for the Lord.
Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Samuel 31: 1 – 13 Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines and fell slain on Mount Gilboa.
Then the Philistines followed hard after Saul and his sons. And the Philistines killed Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchishua, Saul’s sons.
The battle became fierce against Saul. The archers hit him, and he was severely wounded by the archers.
Then Saul said to his armorbearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised men come and thrust me through and abuse me.” But his armorbearer would not, for he was greatly afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword and fell on it.
And when his armorbearer saw that Saul was dead, he also fell on his sword, and died with him.
So Saul, his three sons, his armorbearer, and all his men died together that same day.
And when the men of Israel who were on the other side of the valley, and those who were on the other side of the Jordan, saw that the men of Israel had fled and that Saul and his sons were dead, they forsook the cities and fled; and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
So it happened the next day, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa.
And they cut off his head and stripped off his armour, and sent word throughout the land of the Philistines, to proclaim it in the temple of their idols and among the people.
Then they put his armour in the temple of the Ashtoreth’s, and they fastened his body to the wall of Beth Shan.
Now when the inhabitants of Jabesh Gilead heard what the Philistines had done to Saul,
all the valiant men arose and travelled all night and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Beth Shan; and they came to Jabesh and burned them there.
Then they took their bones and buried them under the tamarisk tree at Jabesh and fasted seven days.
In the above-mentioned word of God, the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines and fell slain on Mount Gilboa. When this happened was that when God went away from Saul who was king. David, the servant of God was also not there in the war. Like this, in our lives also if God is not there as a support along with us the worldly infatuations and lusts, that is the deeds of the Philistines will make our soul to fall down. The place where they push us down in this manner is Mount Gilboa.
Also, the deeds what we must know is that in our soul if the deeds according to the will of God are not there, then God will make our soul become a bondage completely to the Philistines, which are infatuations and lusts and the Israelites, which are the deeds of God will be removed from them and as a pattern for that it is written that the Israelites fled, were cut and fell down.
My dear people, if the Spirit of the Lord is not within us and the evil spirit which is the Spirit of Saul is within us then the spiritual deeds which we had received will be removed completely and the deeds of the Philistines, which are the things of infatuation and lusts, and all these will catch a place in our soul. In this manner, Israel, the church will not be steadfast and will be destroyed. Therefore we must never be deceived by the evil spirit and so that we are not destroyed we must carefully safeguard the anointing that the Lord has given us. Let us submit ourselves.
Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
