“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Colossians 1: 16, 17

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should submit all the things that are there with our soul to Christ.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that if we, the bride, the church are always in the fellowship of saints only the Lord redeems our soul which is in bondage in the hands of the enemy.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Samuel 30: 10 – 20 But David pursued, he and four hundred men; for two hundred stayed behind, who were so weary that they could not cross the Brook Besor.

Then they found an Egyptian in the field and brought him to David; and they gave him bread and he ate, and they let him drink water.

And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs and two clusters of raisins. So when he had eaten, his strength came back to him; for he had eaten no bread nor drunk water for three days and three nights.

Then David said to him, “To whom do you belong, and where are you from?” And he said, “I am a young man from Egypt, servant of an Amalekite; and my master left me behind, because three days ago I fell sick.

We made an invasion of the southern area of the Cherethites, in the territory which belongs to Judah, and of the southern area of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.”

And David said to him, “Can you take me down to this troop?” So he said, “Swear to me by God that you will neither kill me nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will take you down to this troop.”

And when he had brought him down, there they were, spread out over all the land, eating and drinking and dancing, because of all the great spoil which they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from the land of Judah.

Then David attacked them from twilight until the evening of the next day. Not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men who rode on camels and fled.

So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives.

And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all.

Then David took all the flocks and herds they had driven before those other livestock, and said, “This is David’s spoil.”

In the above-mentioned verses, after David enquired of the Lord he is going to go and redeem those who have been taken captive. When they were going in this manner, they found an Egyptian in the field and brought him to David; and they gave him bread and he ate, and they let him drink water. We made an invasion of the southern area of the Cherethites, in the territory which belongs to Judah, and of the southern area of Caleb; and we burned Ziklag with fire.” And David said to him, “Can you take me down to this troop?” So he said, “Swear to me by God that you will neither kill me nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will take you down to this troop.” And when he had brought him down, there they were, spread out over all the land, eating and drinking and dancing, because of all the great spoil which they had taken from the land of the Philistines and from the land of Judah. Then David attacked them from twilight until the evening of the next day. Not a man of them escaped, except four hundred young men who rode on camels and fled. So David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away, and David rescued his two wives. And nothing of theirs was lacking, either small or great, sons or daughters, spoil, or anything which they had taken from them; David recovered all. Then David took all the flocks and herds they had driven before those other livestock, and said, “This is David’s spoil.”

My dear people, the facts regarding this is that our soul which has been made captive by the Amalekites is being redeemed through our Lord Jesus by our Father God whatever age our soul might be and a pattern regarding this is given here. Also, if our soul becomes captive so that good does not come from our things the enemy will capture all our possessions and keep it. Many among us will not realize this and will think that this is some tribulation. What we must surely know is that if our soul does not receive spiritual deliverance within Christ we cannot receive the spiritual goodness and worldly goodness that we must receive.

Therefore, regarding this Ezra 8: 21 Then I proclaimed a fast there at the river of Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from Him the right way for us and our little ones and all our possessions.

Therefore, we, who are stuck with many infatuations and have become captive should escape ourselves by the verses of Christ and by his blood and by his teachings. To show this as a pattern only, when David comes to redeem the things that were lost he brings a Egyptian and gives him bread, water, a piece of a cake of figs and two clusters of raisins. And when ate that, his strength came back. He is an Egyptian and through him David is finding out the possessions that the Amalekites had captured. In this manner, this is a pattern of how God is redeeming us through Christ. Therefore, let us submit ourselves to the Lord for him to redeem us by any manner.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
