“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Psalms 80: 18, 19 Then we will not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.

Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved!

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

Hallelujah

There is only one God who has the power to save our soul, the bride, the church. We know that he is the one who saves us.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that for us, the bride, the church to be without the thoughts of flesh coming in our soul, we must be filled with the Holy Spirit, and we must destroy them.

Next, what we are meditating is that Judges 10: 1 – 5 After Abimelech there arose to save Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir in the mountains of Ephraim.

He judged Israel twenty-three years; and he died and was buried in Shamir.

After him arose Jair, a Gileadite; and he judged Israel twenty-two years.

Now he had thirty sons who rode on thirty donkeys; they also had thirty towns, which are called “Havoth Jair” to this day, which are in the land of Gilead.

And Jair died and was buried in Camon.

When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, after Abimelech there arose to save Israel Tola the son of Puah, the son of Dodo, a man of Issachar; and he dwelt in Shamir in the mountains of Ephraim.

After that the Israelites did evil in the sight of the Lord and that is written in Judges 10: 6 Then the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the Lord, and served the Baals and the Ashtoreths, the gods of Syria, the gods of Sidon, the gods of Moab, the gods of the people of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines; and they forsook the Lord and did not serve Him.

In this verse, the names of the gods that the Israelites served are written. So the anger of the Lord was hot against them; and He sold them into the hands of the Philistines and into the hands of the people of Ammon. From that year they harassed and oppressed the children of Israel for eighteen years—all the children of Israel who were on the other side of the Jordan in the land of the Amorites, in Gilead.

My dear people, when we think regarding the above-mentioned verses no man can save anyone. That is, all men are from beneath. But our Lord Jesus is from above. Therefore only he can save us. This is because every man has to undergo death. But because our Lord Jesus is alive forever, he is able to save us completely. Therefore, Hebrews 5: 7 – 10 who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,

though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.

And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,”

When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, he learned obedience and he was perfected he became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey him and was called by God as High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek. Therefore, my dear people we must know surely that it is possible only by Christ to save us. Also, the reason why the Israelites are harassed by the Gentiles is that God is giving them into the hands of the Gentiles in anger. Also, because our soul is in the land of the Gentiles therefore the Israelites are oppressed due to them. That is, our soul according to how they walk we are walking in many things.

Also, in Judges 10: 9, 10 Moreover the people of Ammon crossed over the Jordan to fight against Judah also, against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was severely distressed.

And the children of Israel cried out to the Lord, saying, “We have sinned against You, because we have both forsaken our God and served the Baals!”

When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, the people of Ammon crossed over the Jordan to fight against Judah also, against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was severely distressed. And the children of Israel cried out to the Lord. For that what the Lord told the Israelites is that Judges 10: 11 – 18 So the Lord said to the children of Israel, “Did I not deliver you from the Egyptians and from the Amorites and from the people of Ammon and from the Philistines?

Also the Sidonians and Amalekites and Maonites oppressed you; and you cried out to Me, and I delivered you from their hand.

Yet you have forsaken Me and served other gods. Therefore I will deliver you no more.

“Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in your time of distress.”

And the children of Israel said to the Lord, “We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems best to You; only deliver us this day, we pray.”

So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the Lord. And His soul could no longer endure the misery of Israel.

Then the people of Ammon gathered together and encamped in Gilead. And the children of Israel assembled together and encamped in Mizpah.

And the people, the leaders of Gilead, said to one another, “Who is the man who will begin the fight against the people of Ammon? He shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”

By telling the above-mentioned words, did I not deliver you in this manner? Yet again you served foreign gods. Therefore I will deliver you no more. “Go and cry out to the gods which you have chosen; let them deliver you in your time of distress.” And the children of Israel said to the Lord, “We have sinned! Do to us whatever seems best to You; only deliver us this day, we pray.” So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the Lord. And His soul could no longer endure the misery of Israel.

My dear people, like how it is said above, though God delivered us many times from the hands of the enemy, but we, many times we move away from his presence and are walking in a way that God does not desire in. When we are walking in this manner we are being oppressed in many ways. When we are oppressed in this manner, and when we call upon the Lord again though he has delivered us many times, we do not realize that and there are many times when we serve foreign gods. After that when we are oppressed in many different ways, even though he decides not to deliver us anymore, due to our calling and due to our submission, he has compassion and he sees our sadness and has mercy upon us. This is what we are saying that he is merciful and compassionate God. In this manner, God is explaining his deeds to us. Not only that the people of Ammon gathered together and encamped in Gilead. And the children of Israel assembled together and encamped in Mizpah. And the people, the leaders of Gilead, said to one another, “Who is the man who will begin the fight against the people of Ammon? He shall be head over all the inhabitants of Gilead.”

In this manner, God is being powerful in war, and he is manifesting as the head of everything. By him, we all have salvation. He is the one who saves us. In this manner, let us serve our Saviour and glorify him. Let us submit ourselves for him.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
