“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Proverbs 12: 19

The truthful lip shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should be as those who follow the true church, the body of Christ.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should not be jealous of those coming against us but we must unite with them by ourselves.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Samuel 25: 1 - 9 Then Samuel died; and the Israelites gathered together and lamented for him and buried him at his home in Ramah. And David arose and went down to the Wilderness of Paran.

Now there was a man in Maon whose business was in Carmel, and the man was very rich. He had three thousand sheep and a thousand goats. And he was shearing his sheep in Carmel.

The name of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife Abigail. And she was a woman of good understanding and beautiful appearance; but the man was harsh and evil in his doings. He was of the house of Caleb.

When David heard in the wilderness that Nabal was shearing his sheep,

David sent ten young men; and David said to the young men, “Go up to Carmel, go to Nabal, and greet him in my name.

And thus you shall say to him who lives in prosperity: ‘Peace be to you, peace to your house, and peace to all that you have!

Now I have heard that you have shearers. Your shepherds were with us, and we did not hurt them, nor was there anything missing from them all the while they were in Carmel.

Ask your young men, and they will tell you. Therefore let my young men find favor in your eyes, for we come on a feast day. Please give whatever comes to your hand to your servants and to your son David.’”

So when David’s young men came, they spoke to Nabal according to all these words in the name of David and waited.

When we meditate upon the above-mentioned words Samuel who was chosen by the Lord died. All the Israelites gathered together and lamented for him and buried him at his home in Ramah. When David heard in the wilderness that Nabal was shearing his sheep, David sent ten young men; and David said to the young men, “Go up to Carmel, go to Nabal, and greet him in my name. Please give whatever comes to your hand to your servants and to your son David.’” So when David’s young men came, they spoke to Nabal according to all these words in the name of David and waited.

But the reply that Nabal gave in 1 Samuel 25: 10 – 12 Then Nabal answered David’s servants, and said, “Who is David, and who is the son of Jesse? There are many servants nowadays who break away each one from his master.

Shall I then take my bread and my water and my meat that I have killed for my shearers, and give it to men when I do not know where they are from?”

So David’s young men turned on their heels and went back; and they came and told him all these words.

Those young men went and told all the above-mentioned words to David.

My dear people, God is showing the above-mentioned things to us as a pattern. One portion of the Israelites were in another place with the thinking of Nabal and were worshipping God and David knowing this to unite everyone as Christ, the one church and to worship in one spirit he is sending ten of God’s servants explaining everything and asking them. Nabal was harsh and evil in his doings. If we are in this manner and lead the church of God, the Spirit of the Lord will not be in them and the one teaching of God will not come within them and for this we see that David is sending his servants there. But those with Nabal are servants means those who are doing the work of God. But those whom David sent are servants doing ministry, those who are worshipping God. Therefore those doing ministry require servants. So he is telling and sending them. But he speaks cheaply regarding David and sent away those who came.

Therefore, my dear people our soul should only accept the church of Christ. Let us submit ourselves so that we do not go and get stuck with those like Nabal and we should safeguard ourselves.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
