“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Romans 12: 21

Do not be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should not be jealous of those coming against us but we must unite with them by ourselves.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should not do any evil to others and we should keep cleansing our heart.

Next what we are meditating upon is that 1 Samuel 24: 13 - 22 As the proverb of the ancients says, ‘Wickedness proceeds from the wicked.’ But my hand shall not be against you.

After whom has the king of Israel come out? Whom do you pursue? A dead dog? A flea?

Therefore let the Lord be judge, and judge between you and me, and see and plead my case, and deliver me out of your hand.”

So it was, when David had finished speaking these words to Saul, that Saul said, “Is this your voice, my son David?” And Saul lifted up his voice and wept.

Then he said to David: “You are more righteous than I; for you have rewarded me with good, whereas I have rewarded you with evil.

And you have shown this day how you have dealt well with me; for when the Lord delivered me into your hand, you did not kill me.

For if a man finds his enemy, will he let him get away safely? Therefore may the Lord reward you with good for what you have done to me this day.

And now I know indeed that you shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand.

Therefore swear now to me by the Lord that you will not cut off my descendants after me, and that you will not destroy my name from my father’s house.”

So David swore to Saul. And Saul went home, but David and his men went up to the stronghold.

In the above-mentioned verses, when Saul was chasing David in a place where they both met, David thinks of making peace and tells Saul let the Lord judge between you and me, and let the Lord avenge me on you. But my hand shall not be against you. Also David says, as the proverb of the ancients says, ‘Wickedness proceeds from the wicked.’ But my hand shall not be against you. After whom has the king of Israel come out? Whom do you pursue? A dead dog? A flea? Therefore let the Lord be judge, and judge between you and me, and see and plead my case, and deliver me out of your hand.” So it was, when David had finished speaking these words to Saul, that Saul said, “Is this your voice, my son David?” And Saul lifted up his voice and wept. Therefore swear now to me by the Lord that you will not cut off my descendants after me, and that you will not destroy my name from my father’s house.” So David swore to Saul. And Saul went home, but David and his men went up to the stronghold.

My dear people, the facts regarding what is mentioned above is that whoever may arise against us if we have to get safety from them we must humble ourselves a lot before them their soul will be crushed. That is why, the Lord is saying that “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head, in Romans 12: 20. In this manner, David is receiving safety from Saul. In this manner, let us submit ourselves to do good to those who do evil unto us.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
