“Glory to the Precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ”

Proverbs 14: 30

A sound heart is life to the body, but envy is rottenness to the bones.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen

We, the bride, the church should safeguard our soul so that envy does not arise in it.

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, in the portion of the Bible that we meditated upon in the past days, we meditated that we, the bride, the church should be anointed by the Lord and we can overcome the enemies by his words. That is how David overcame Goliath, the Philistine and we can see that.

Also, after David overcame Goliath after Saul enquired whose son David was then David is speaking to Saul. Then in 1 Samuel 18: 1 - 9 Now when he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul.

Saul took him that day and would not let him go home to his father’s house anymore.

Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.

And Jonathan took off the robe that was on him and gave it to David, with his armor, even to his sword and his bow and his belt.

So David went out wherever Saul sent him, and behaved wisely. And Saul set him over the men of war, and he was accepted in the sight of all the people and also in the sight of Saul’s servants.

Now it had happened as they were coming home, when David was returning from the slaughter of the Philistine, that the women had come out of all the cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul, with tambourines, with joy, and with musical instruments.

So the women sang as they danced, and said: “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.”

Then Saul was very angry, and the saying displeased him; and he said, “They have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed only thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?”

So Saul eyed David from that day forward.

When we meditate upon the above-mentioned verses, after David finished talking to Saul the soul of Jonathan was knit to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. So the women sang as they danced, and said: “Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands.” Then Saul was very angry, and the saying displeased him; and he said, “They have ascribed to David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed only thousands. Now what more can he have but the kingdom?”  So Saul eyed David from that day forward.

My dear people, when we meditate upon the above-mentioned words of God, our soul along with the words of God when it is united as one with God he does not allow any foreign deeds to grow in our soul and he will safeguard it. In this manner, God blesses us and if he is making us holy then only if we will walk in understanding it can happen in this manner. In that case, God will lift us up in his kingdom. Not only that, in front of the eyes of the people we will be desired. We will be pleasing to God also. Also, what we must be careful about is that when God blesses us with his grace, those who have been sent with distressing spirit by God will be envious of those who have the good spirit like Saul. Not only that they will eye them.

But the word of God says in Proverbs 24: 1, 2 Do not be envious of evil men, nor desire to be with them;

For their heart devises violence, and their lips talk of troublemaking.

When we meditate upon the above-mentioned words well, the soul of those with the distressing spirit devises violence and their lips talk of trouble making.

My dear people, we must never desire to sit along with them in any circumstance. This is because the evil spirit that is in them should not touch us and we must be careful. Regarding such people, we should not be envious and we must safeguard our soul carefully.

Let us pray. May the Lord bless you all abundantly.
